                    Can the ECC21 display ITIC / CBEMA curves?

                    Goal
                    To add the ITIC / CBEMA webpage option to the ECC21.

                    Causes and Fixes

                    Cause

                    By default the ECC21 card does not have the CBEMA curve webpage pre-loaded


                    Resolution

                    FTP the ITIC.htm file to the ECC21 to enable ITIC / CEBEMA graphs

                    1. Download the attached ITIC.htm file to the root of C:\
                    2. Open a Windows Command Prompt (cmd)
                    3. Enter "ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where the x's correspond to the IP address of the ECC21
                    4. When prompted, enter the ECC user name "admin"
                    5. When prompted, enter the admin password. The default password is "admin"
                    6. Enter "send C:\itic.htm"

                    Why does my SMC Series Smart-UPS switch to battery when it encounters high voltage?

                    Issue: 
                    "SMC" series Smart-UPS switches to battery when it encounters high input voltage.
                     
                    Product line:

                    SMC1000, SMC1500, SMC1000-2u, SMC1500-2u 
                     
                    Cause:
                    The SMC series of Smart-UPS feature boost-only voltage regulation. If input voltage rises above your high voltage transfer point, the UPS will switch to on-battery operation. This is normal.
                     
                    Resolution:
                    If you find your unit repeatedly switching to on-battery operation due to high input voltage, you can adjust the high voltage transfer point via Powerchute Business Edition. This gives you a wider range of acceptable input voltages and will allow your UPS to stay on-line in a wider variety of situations. Please note that this will also potentially expose your attached load to higher voltages, however it will never expose your load to anything outside of CBEMA standards for acceptable input voltage. If your application requires both boost and trim voltage regulation, we would suggest upgrading to an SMT or SMX series Smart-UPS.












                     

                    The PQDIF file extracted from an ION8650C is empty

                    Issue
                    The CBEMA log and the power quality report for the ION8650 indicate that a PQ event but the PQDIF extractor in PME 8.x creates an empty file for the specific time range.

                    The ION8650's Sag/swell module doesn't have following outputs and therefore they are not logged in the database. 
                    1- SubV1Avg, SubV2Avg, SubV3Avg
                    2- DistV1Avg, DistV2Avg, DistV3Avg
                    The PQDIFF extractor default templates for the ION8650 meters requires a disturbance average quantity in order to generate a PQDIFF file. 

                    Resolution
                    The ION8650C, unlike the ION8650A and ION8650B, was not designed to be a power quality meter and has limited PQ capabilities. The meter by default records the min and max duration and the PQDIFF extractor can be modified  to export PQDIFF files from the ION8650C:

                    To Add a new custom template to PQDIFF that can export either the min or max disturbance values:
                    1. Navigate to PME_Directory\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\exporters\PQDIF\templates
                    2. Add the files SagSwell_Voltage_Disturbance_max_values and SagSwell_Voltage_Disturbance_min_values to the folder.
                    3.  Restart the ION PQDIF Exporter Service and relaunch PQDIF exporter.
                    4. Select the new ION8650C templates and then run an export job in PQDIF exporter
                    The extracted files will contain either the mix or the min values. 

                    PM850/870 Device Reboots For No Apparent Reason in ION Enterprise \SPM \ PME

                    Issue
                    An ION Enterprise 5.6 SP1 or 6.0, StruxureWare Power Monitoring (SPM), Power Monitoring Expert (PME) system which includes a PM850 or PM870 device,
                    the device reboots periodically for no apparent reason.

                    Cause
                    There is a problem with firmware versions for PM8 devices prior to v10.8 which can cause the device to reboot if it is polled frequently.

                    Resolution
                    Upgrade the meter firmware to version 10.8 or greater. Upgrading the meter firmware will also allow the device to provide information required for a CBEMA plot.

                    5) click on the Download button to start the download and save the file
