TIP #1: Smoke Alarms

It is recommended that houses have multiple smoke alarms installed and ensure that your smoke alarms are interconnected.
We recommend smoke alarms be installed in bedrooms and living spaces as well as hallways and stairwells.

Care and maintain your smoke alarm units:

You should test, clean and check your smoke alarm unit and batteries regularly – we recommend once a month.
Help prevent insects from finding their way into your smoke alarm by spraying insect repellent directly onto a cloth and wiping the ceiling around the smoke alarm unit every 3 months.
You should replace the batteries in your smoke alarm unit every year.
All smoke alarm units should be replaced every 10 years.

TIP #2: Circuit Protection:

We recommend 3 levels of safety solutions for home electrical protection.

RCBOs: Help protect your loved ones and the electrical cables in your home.
Surge Protection devices: Help protect all the valuable appliances and devices within your home from lightning strikes, power surges and voltage spikes.
Arc Fault Detection Devices: Help protect your home from arc faults and reduce the chance of potential house fires caused by arc faults.

TIP #3: Lighting Solutions:

Exterior Lighting:

Consider your exterior lighting to ensure that you and your guests can safely make their way to your door in the dark whilst also deterring unwanted intruders.
Motion sensors, timers or sunset switches are great ways to control your exterior lights.

Indoor Lighting:

We recommend Iconic Night Walk light. This subtle LED night light is ideal for helping illuminate a clear path without disturbing other sleepers in your home!
Iconic Night Walk has 2 modes:
- Sensor light (which comes on when movement is detected, and remains on for 2 minutes.
