Why does my other equiptment trip when my contactor releases?

The colapsing coil voltage on DC is causing a Back EMF (electro magnetic field) issue. This is solved with either a varistor LA4SKE1E or a Diode LA4SKC1U on the LP1K09 contactor.

What is the part number for a diode for a CA3KN relay?

        Issue:
What is  the part number for a diode for a CA3KN relay?

        Product Line:
        Tesys Relays

        Environment:
        All Products

        Cause:
        Product selection

        Resolution:
LA4KC1B or LA4KC1E is the diode and zener diode for the CA3KN relay.

Will the LA4DC1U work with the new CAD32BD relay?

        Issue:
Will the LA4DC1U work on the CAd32BD relay

        Product Line:
        IEC relays and accessories

        Environment:
Products sold and used in the United States

        Cause:
        Identifying product compatibility

        Resolution:
The CAD32BD with DC coil has built-in coil suppression protection as standard so the LA4DC1U is not needed.

Will the LA4DC1U diode suppressor mount to current Tesys D DC coils?

        Issue:
Will the LA4DC1U diode suppressor mount to current Tesys D DC coils?
        Product Line:
        IEC contactors and starters

        Environment:
Products sold and used in the United States

        Resolution:
No. The LA4DC1U diode unit will only fit the older TeSys D contactors. Tesys D DC coils include suppression automatically, it`s not needed.

No action on logical input, logical input out of order.

        Goals and Symptoms

No action on logical input, logical input out of order.

        Facts and Changes

        ATV31
        Logical Input
        LI1, LI2, LI3, LI4

        Causes and Fixes

This phenom can occur when the 24V used for the logical input is connected in some coil of relay or of electromagnet and so on.
It's due to the overvoltage generated by Ldi/dt when you cut a continue voltage on a coil (L).
It's possible to reduce the level of this overvoltage, use LA4KC1B or LA4DE2U.

Is the voltage code BD3 valid for a CA3DN40 relay?

        Issue:
Is the voltage code BD3 valid for a CA3DN40 relay?

        Product Line:
        Tesys Relays

        Environment:
        All Products

        Cause:
        Product selection

        Resolution:
No.  The voltage code BD3 is for the CA4D Low Consumption relays only.   A 24 volt DC coil with built in transient suppression is not available on the CA3D relay.    Use the add on LA4DA1E varister style or the LA4DC1U diode style add on transient suppressors on the CA3D relays.

        LA4DE1U TeSys D - suppressor module - varistor - 110...250 V AC/DC

        to suit D40-D115 (3P) and D65-115 (4P):
        LA4DE2U TeSys D - suppressor module - varistor - 110...250 V AC
        OR
        LA4DE3U TeSys D - suppressor module - varistor - 110...250 V DC

        Will a LAD4RCE or LA4DRCU also fit a LC2D09 thru LC2D38 reversing contactors?

        Issue:
        Identifying accessories for reversing contactors

        Product Line:
        IEC contactors and starters

        Environment:
Products sold and used in the United States

        Cause:
Accessories used on non-reversing contactors are also needed for reversing application

        Resolution:
Yes, the LC2D contactors are provided standard with one on the left contactor. One may be added to the right contactor.

Does LC1D80BD have internal bi-directional diode?

        Issue:
        LC1D80 and LC1D95 bi-directional diode

        Product Line:
        TeSys™ D Contactors

        Environment:
        Contactor Accessories

        Resolution:
LC1D80 and LC1D95 does not have an internal bi-directional peak limiting diode on their DC coils. LA4DC3U (Screw connection of wire to the contactor coil terminals 24–250 Vdc, 3p-4p) must be ordered separately.

The LC1D09 to LC1D38 have an internal diode by default on their DC coils.
