What are the power limitations on a shutter relay L5501RBCP?

The power limitations to the shutter relay L5501RBCP are a maximum load output of 24V DC, 24-240V AC and a maximum motor load of 2A.

Some of the key features for the L5501RBCP are:
  • DIN rail mounted, 2M wide
  • AC input impedance 80 kOhm at 1 kHz
  • Electrical isolation 3.75 kV RMS from C-Bus to mains
  • Maximum units per network 80
  • Load current rating 2 A (motor load)
  • Load voltage rating 24 V DC, 24 - 240 V AC
  • Warm up time 5 s
  • Network clock software selectable
  • Network burden software selectable
  • Class II switch
  • 4 kV rated impulse withstand voltage
  • 0 - 45 deg C operating temperature
  • 10 - 95% RH operating humidity
  • Mains terminals Accommodates 2 x 1.5 mmsq or 1 x 2.5 mmsq (2 x 15 AWG or 1 x 13 AWG)

How do I determine if a fan is suitable to be used with the C-Bus fan relay unit

Any fan which is switched via a 3 wire capacitor (low, medium, common) will be acceptable

Can you have more than one fan controlled from a DLT?

You cannot natively control more than one fan. However implemention of multiple fans can be achieved through the use of logic, please contact Technical Support for a logic example.

Any logic examples are provided as is and are not able to be supported.

What is required for a Fan to be compatible with C-Bus?

For a fan to be compatible with C-Bus, it will require a 3 wire capacitor built for low and medium speeds.

This capacitor can then be wired into a L5501RFCP which will act on behalf of the rotary dial.

From there, a C-Bus switch can then be programmed to step through the speeds.

What is the code for a CBus 4 channel relay without power supply

 Part code L5504RVFP

What are the individual preset levels or percentages for Blind Shutter Relays?

Depending on the scenario they are being used in, you can have three options based on 1, 2 or 3 button control

1 Button Control:
98% - Shutter Toggle Open/Close

2 Button Control:
1% - Close Toggle/Stop
99% - Open Toggle/Stop

3 Button Control:
0% - Close
100% - Open
2% - Stop

If you find that the opposite of what is expected to happen is happening, please confirm the polarity of the wiring

What is the difference between L5508RVFP and L5508RVF?

L5508RVFP and L5508RVF are C-Bus DIN Rail Mounted Relay Units, 250V AC 10A 8 Channel, 12M modules wide. The only difference between the two is L5508RVFP does not come with C-Bus Power Supply and L5508RVF is with 200mA C-Bus internal Power Supply.

C-BUS - Can I open/close all shutters but still have individual control?

Yes you can, if you have for example 5 shutter relays all with separate group address for individual control and would like a master switch to open or close all then try the following:

On a device supporting scenes, create a close scene with all of those shutter relay groups set to 0%, under the Trigger Control tab create a Trigger Group with the action selector set to 0.
Now duplicate that scene and set the groups to 100%, under the Trigger Control select the same Trigger Group but now set the Action selector to 255.

On a key input (switch) change to the secondary application and select the Trigger Group with function on/off.

When pressed this will send the 255 to trigger one scene and when pressed off will send the 0 level to trigger the alternate scene.
