      Why does the ATV212 display a flashing StOP when changing from utility to generator power?

      Issue:
      Why does the ATV212 display a flashing StOP when changing from utility to generator power?

      Product Line:
      ATV21, ATV212

      Environment:
      All models and serial numbers.

      Cause:
      Momentary power loss removes output power to motor.

      Resolution:
      When F302, supply loss behavior, is enabled, then a brief loss of input power will cause the drive to remove power from the motor and display the flashing StOP alarm.  To restart operation, remove and reapply a new run command signal.  To disable this function and attempt to ride through the momentary loss of power, set F302 back to the factory default of 0.

      What is the meaning of OC1 fault in Altivar 21 Drive.

      The meaning of OC1 is over current during Acceleration. This fault appears when the motor is drawing excess current during acceleration.

      Main probable causes of the fault:

      1         The acceleration time ACC is too short.
      2         The parameter Pt(Motor Control Mode) is incorrect.
      3         The drive is starting into a rotating load.
      4         A special motor (e.g. motor with small impedance) is used.

      Remedies:

      1         Increase the acceleration time
      2         Check the Pt (Motor Control Mode) parameter.
      3         Use F301 (Auto-Restart) and F302 (Coast Stop).
      4         Adjust the switching frequency F300.
      5         Set parameter F316(Switching Frequency Control Mode) to 1 or 3 (carrier frequency is decreased automatically).

      What is parameter F303 on the ATV212?

      Issue:
      What is parameter F303 on the ATV212?

      Product Line:
      Altivar 212, Altivar 21

      Environment:
      All serial numbers

      Cause:
      N/A

      Resolution:
       F303 is the number of auto restarts the VFD will attempt, before locking on a fault.

      Is there a mounting clip to fit a 30 series mec to a panel?

      Yes, the F30Z1, F30Z1.5, or F30Z2 mounting clip suits 1, 1.5, or 2mm thick panels, or the B30GFZ will screw mount onto a surface.

      What is the part number for the adapter that lets 30 series mecs fit in a Prestige switch?

      The part number for the adapter that lets 30 series mecs fit in a Prestige switch is P30Z.

      What is the part number for a 30 series switch mech , labelled ZONE 1 , 2 , 3 ?

      The part number for a 30 series switch mech , labelled ZONE 1 , 2 , 3 is - 30MZ1 , 30MZ2 , 30MZ3

      What can cause Err1 on ATV212 or ATV21 drive?

      Product Line:
      ATV212
      ATV21

      Environment:
      All environments

      Cause:
      Setting the Refrences to the same numer

      Resolution:
      This is a Speed Reference Fault.  It indicates an incorrect setting in F201, F202, F203, F204 OR F210, F211, F212, F213.

      Verify these parameters, and set them properly.
      Default settings are:
      F201 = 0%
      F202 = 0Hz
      F203 = 100%
      F204 = 50/60Hz

      F2010 = 0%
      F2011 = 0Hz
      F2012 = 100%
      F2013 = 50/60Hz

      Is the MCE200 still available and if not is there an alternative?

      No, this product has been discontinued. The closest alternative would be the CE250. However, please note, it is not a direct replacement. The airflow per cubice meters has gone from 330M2 /H to 385M2 /H. and the grill is no longer metal.

      The CE250M is the metal version however that is currently being phased out.

      Some of the key features are:

      • 345 mm overall intake
      • 248 mm diameter duct
      • 287 mm diameter hole
      • 800 mm Plug and lead length
      • 1 speed
      • Attractive low profile grille
      • Fly-proof grille to keep out insects

      What can cause on OC1 fault on the ATV21 and ATV212 drives?

      Product Line:
      Altivar ATV21 and ATV212

      Environment:
      All

      Cause:
      Over current during acceleration

      Resolution:
      Increase the ACC time or the ACC2 time
      Try adjusting the PT parameter
      Enable catch on the fly F301= 4
      Try adjusting the switching frequency F300
      Set F316 parameter to 1 or 3

      What causes an OP1 (overvoltage during acceleration time) on an ATV21/212 drive?

      Issue:
      Troubleshooting OP1 (overvoltage during acceleration time) on an ATV21/212 drive.

      Product Line:
      Altivar ATV21 and ATV212 drives.

      Environment:
      All

      Cause:
      Overvoltage during acceleration

      Resolution:
      This can be caused by a number of factors.

      In main menu under AUF:
      Set Au1 to 0  (disables auto ramp)
      Set PT to 0   (Constant V/Hz- linear voltage/speed ratio)
      Set ACC time to a higher value if the time frame is very short.

      Under F--- submenu:
      Enable catch on the fly, parameter F301= 3
      Set overvoltage fault operation level F626 to 150%

      Check problems on an application level:
      An opposing force that maybe acting upon the load that is controlled by the drive can cause backfeed issues on the drive's dc bus such as higher DC potential causing over voltage issues.

      Video: How is automatic restart configured on the ATV21 / ATV212 drive?

      Issue:
      Video: How is automatic restart configured on the ATV21 / ATV212 drive?

      Product Line:
      ATV21 and ATV212

      Environment:
      All serial numbers for ATV21 and ATV212

      Cause:
      Certain faults can be automatically reset after the cause has cleared.  The drive will then restart the motor.

      Resolution:
      Set F303 to any value, from 1 to 10, indicating the number of attempts to clear the detected fault.  A value of 0 disables the feature.
      If the fault clears, the drive will restart the motor if the run command is active.
      If the fault does not clear after all attempts are made, the drive will require a manual reset.

      The first clear is attempted 1 second after the detected fault occurs.  Each subsequent clear attempt adds 1 second to the time interval between attempts.

      See the attached ATV212 Programming Manual, page 135 for further details.
