Why is there a voltage present at the terminals of the open contact of an IHP digital time clock.?

The new generation programmable time switches (CCT15720, CCT15721, CCT15722, CTT15723, CCT15850, CCT15851,CCT15852, CCT15853, CCT16650 and CCT15652) integrate the O-crossing technique. This is an electronic procedure enabling the circuit to be opened at zero current, which enables the electromechanical contact to be operated off-load.

This is used to avoid the inrush currents of certain loads, particularly lighting.

This solution involves a low leakage current traveling through the electronics which generates residual voltage at the contact terminals, even when open. This can cause problems when very low loads (small relays, LEDs, etc.) are operated, as the receiver may be "held on" by this spurious voltage.

            Note:
For this type of application (low load), a conventional electromechanical programmable time switch should be used.

Is the CCT15725 available in 24v dc

             Only available in 240v only

            Video: How to Program the CCT15491 IC100kp+ 1 C

Why can't I measure a voltage on the time switch output contacts.

The time switches have a "volts free" contact which means that the contact is not connected internally to the time switch power supply.

The contact needs to be separately fed (usually linked across from the incoming live)

Instructions for Merlin Gerin timer CCT15837 or CCT15854

See the attached installation instructions for both timers.

Is the CCT15837 still available for Purchase?

No, the CCT15387 has been superceeded by the CCT15838. This only has 1 N/O contact.

            What is a CCT15284

It is an IC2000 - twilight switch

What is the new code for the CCT15837 timer?

The new code is CCT15838, but the CCT15838 only has a N/O contact not a C/O contact like the previous version.

What is the replacement for CCT15837 ?

The replacement is the CCT15838 Which has higher load ratings but is a N/O contact instead of a C/O
            (see attached file)

            Video: CCT15854 Programming Schedules

Does the CCT15837 time clock have a backup battery

Yes the CCT15837 does have a backup battery

What cable is used between the sensor and the base unit on a CCT15368

The cable is 2 core shielded

What is the battery life on the Timer CCT15838 ?

Battery life of CCT15838 shows as 10 years on data sheet as attached.

What does the plug shaped symbol on the display of a CCT15940 time switch mean?

The plug symbol means that the timer is in power fail mode.
This means that the mains supply of the timer is no longer present.
The symbol will disappear as soon as the mains are reconnected.

Is there an equivalent part for the ITM4C-6E?

Yes the CCT15940 4 channel output.

Is the battery inside the CCT15854 timer replaceable?

No. Unfortunately, the battery can not be replaced as it is soldered on the PCB.

Does the 15725 have daylight savings function

15725 has been superceded by CCT15837
CCT15837 has NZ listed for daylight saving

what is the maximum amount of settings which can be achieved with the CCT15854?

            56 settings

Why the CCT15940 time switch does not operates again, after the electrical power has resumed?

If the timer has been connected all the time to mains, then it seems that the timer has been damaged (maybe due to high voltage or spikes in the network).

What is the replacement for CCT15837?

            CCT15838 - Prog. time switch 16A IHPplus 1C 18 mm. This only has 1 N/O contact.

Does the CCT15837 Digital Time Clock come with battery back up?

Yes, the battery will last for 5 years.

Are there instructions available for the CCT15854 timer?

Please find attached instructions for the CCT15854 Din rail mount timer.

What is the replacement for the 4TCD / 4TCD1 ?

4TCD is 7 day Clipsal timer  , made obsolete and has a Schneider Equivalent of  CCT15854.
Please see attached data sheets on both the products for more details.

How to programe a CCT15854 timer unit for specific start and end times?

            Questions
To  program the CCT15854 timer unit to suit the following way:
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays:
the "start" time = 5 AM
the "end" time = 8 PM.

Also on Saturdays and Sundays the CCT15854 timer unit = off.

The described functionality of the customer is possible to realise.
The CCT15854 is not using start and end time.

You create a program with ON switching time and then another program with OFF switching time.

So, in fact, you have to create two programs.
To program the mentioned times you have to do the following steps:
For ON switching at 5 AM:
            1. Select Menu/program/new/
            2. select ON/configure hour and minute (5:00)/
            3. select weekday: Monday/select COPY (4 times) for the following days (Tuesday until Friday)/
            4. press "next" 2 times to leave out Saturday and Sunday/
            5. save the program

For OFF switching at 8 PM:
You have to repeat these steps. It is like creating a new program:
            1. Select Menu/program/new/select OFF/
            2. configure hour and minute (20:00)/
            3. select weekday: Monday/select COPY (4 times) for the following days (Tuesday until Friday)/
            4. press "next" 2 times to leave out Saturday and Sunday/
            5. save the program

What is the current replacement for the 15725

The part number is the CCT15838 the main difference is this has N/O contacts and the 15725 had C/O contacts.
            (See attached data sheet)
