What is the cut-out for the 56FA flush mount surround?

Solid and Cavity Brick Walls (Bracket Mounting)

Prepare wall by cutting hole 90 x 90mm for 56FA1, 90 x 190mm
for 56FA2, 90 x 285mm for 56FA3 and 190mm2 for 56FA4.
Mount bracket to exterior wall using any suitable fixing device i.e.
thrubolts, fibre plugs, etc.
Remove adhesive backing sheet from gasket and adhere to inner
surface of flange. Mount modules to bracket through flange.
Note: 1. For soft or porous brickwork we suggest adhesive
anchored fixing.
2. When mounting to brick ensure all mortar joints are
sealed with suitable caulking compound.

Panel Type Walls (Bracket Mounting)

Prepare wall by cutting hole as described above for solid and
cavity brick walls. Mount bracket to wall using suitable hollow wall
anchors. Adhere gasket to flange and mount modules through
flange to bracket.
Note: If possible mount bracket to building frame i.e. wooden
noggins and studs with suitable wood screws.

Does the 554C4 have new 4 single screw connectors instead of the original two screw connectors?

Over the coming months, the terminal connectors supplied with a number of Electrical Accessories will be changing. These changes are:

  1. The screw type in the connector will suit either a No. 2 Philips Drive or a No 1 Square Drive screwdriver.

  1. Terminal connectors will now be square wrapper design, ensuring reliable connection.

  1. All connectors will now be supplied with single screw. This is fully compliant with AS/NZS3000:2007 as per clause (d) below from sub-section 2.9.4. for active, neutral and earth connections.
(d) a neutral conductor used as a combined protective earthing and neutral (PEN) conductor for protective earthing of any portion of an electrical installation, the terminal shall be of a type having—
  1. two screws; or
  2. one screw with an outside diameter not less than 80% of the tunnel diameter.

The terminal connectors being supplied have a screw diameter in excess of 80% of the tunnel diameter which means the single screw connectors can be used for active, neutral and earth connections.

The products supplied with new connectors are:
  • 504/4
  • 554/3
  • 554/4
  • 554J4
  • 554C4
  • 554J4B100

PowerSCADA Expert - A way to fix Gateway Exceptions 0xB for Modbus Slave devices behind EGX100

Customer Issue:
Frequent disconnection for MODNET11 type IODevices behind an EGX100 Gateway.
Project was a DataCenter in UK.
Devices are DAC - Dry Air Cooler.
PSE 7.40 SR1 + HFs and Drivers used are the latest to date.
Glossary: PSE = PowerSCADA Expert; SR1 = Service Release 1; HFs = HotFixes

Resolution:
Several attempts to tune the Timeout, Retries and Driver Error Masking (Citect's KB - Q5923 Driver Error 00008203 (0x0000200b) with MODNET driver when connecting via a gateway) on PSE side, Response Time on serial port of EGX100 side, were not helping at all.
The EGX100 was replying with exception responses as if DAC devices were offline: GATEWAY_TARGET_DEVICE_FAILED_TO_RESPOND_EXCEPTION = 0xB
It was happening several times during runtime (I cannot say the period), but the response was not always neither to the same registers request, nor persisting more than 1 response/frame, meaning that the next Modbus request from PSE was answered properly.
It looked like a problematic Modbus Slave device.
The only efficient way to fix it was by replacing the IODevice Protocol MODNET with PwrModbus and enabling RetryException in [PWRMODBUS] section of citect.ini:
[PWRMODBUS]
RetryException = 1
Note: RetryException = 0 by default, meaning that retries on exceptions are disabled. More info about this parameter (like to what exception codes it retries) are found in PwrModbus Driver's help and the same in PowerSCADA Expert System Integrators Manual.
The number of default retries for PwrModbus driver is 3; this is handled by "[PWRMODBUS]retry" parameter.
I reduced this to [PWRMODBUS]retry = 2 and in this case and it worked, however it is something that can be tuned.

This RetryException is a feature that PwrModbus driver has, while MODNET hasn't (among others).
