Advanced Reports Crystal SMTP task fails with error 501

The 501 error code primarily defines two problems (see attached picture for the exact error as seen under failed status). One is the destination or sender address is incorrect. This may be checked using the command prompt and telnet (see for full details on how to do this). The other is the domain name was input into Crystal Management Console > Servers > ReportjobServer > (click on destination tab) CrystalEnterprise.Smtp with an @ at the beginning of the domain name, remove the @ to resolve the issue.

TSXETZ410 returns error 'CAN'T UPDATE PARAMETER - 501 NOT IMPLEMENTED' when viewing some web pages.

      Goals and Symptoms

TSXETZ410 returns error 'CAN'T UPDATE PARAMETER - 501 NOT IMPLEMENTED' when viewing some
      web pages.

      Facts and Changes

      Causes and Fixes

This is a known issues with using Sun Java Runtime Environment to view some of our web pages in the
      older TSXETZ410.

The problem is due to the JAVA script commands used for some of the web pages to be compiled with
Microsoft's JAVA Runtime Environment and are not be compatible with Sun's JAVA Runtime Environment.

To resolve the problem, you can:
1.) Detach the Microsoft JVM installation file and install it.
      2.) Reboot the PC.
3.) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools\Internet Options

4.) Click on the Advanced tab.

5.) Scroll down to the 'JAVA (SUN)' option and deselect the checkbox.
6.) Scroll down to the Microsoft VM option and select all three checkboxes.

7.) Clcik on the Apply button
8.) Click on the OK button.
      9.) Restart Internet Explorer.
10.) Open the web pages for the ETZ410.

If you do not want to install the Microsoft JVM, you can upgrade the TSXETZ410 unit to the latest
version to see if it fixes the problem. (The TSXETZ410 module can only be upgraded by sending
it back to the factory for an exchange. (The lastest version of the exec firmware is 1.8))
