What is the maximum DC voltage per pole for TeSys F Range contactors.

The maximum DC voltage for TeSys F range contactors is 125 Volt per pole. This voltage is applicable for the specification of L/R <= 15ms in DC applications.

What is the maximum DC voltage per pole for TeSys D range contactors.

The maximum DC voltage for TeSys D range contactor is 75 Volt per pole. This voltage is applicable for the specification of L/R <= 15ms in DC applications.

What will cause an LRF fault on the ATS48 soft starters?

Issue:
ATS48 is showing LRF fault code.

Product Line:
Altistart ATS48 soft starters

Environment:
All

Cause:
Locked motor rotor.

Resolution:
Locked rotor in steady state
This fault is only active in steady state with soft starter bypass contactor. It is detected if the current in a phase is greater than or equal to 5IN (five times the FLA) for more than 0.2 s.
Check the mechanism for wear, mechanical play, lubrication, blockages,

How do you display motor current on the ATV312 drives?

Issue:
Display motor current on the ATV312

Product Line:
Altivar ATV312

Environment:
All

Cause:
Needs to display motor current on the main display.

Resolution:
Programming
SUP menu
Enter
Arrow down to LCR and press enter
Now the drive will display motor current.
If you want the drive to always show motor current hit Enter again.

How is the ATV312 default display changed to show a different monitored parameter?

Issue:
Display a different monitored parameter on an ATV312

Product Line:
ATV312  ATV31

Environment:
All

Cause:
Preference is to normally display a parameter such as motor current or motor torque, not the factory default of output frequency.

Resolution:
Go to SUP menu and display the parameter to be used as a default display ( e.g. LCr or Otr ).  Press ENT once to show the current value of that parameter.  Then press and hold ENT for about 2 seconds and the display will flash, indicating the process is complete.

What can cause an ULF motor underload fault on the ATS48 soft starter?

Issue:
ATS48 tripping on ULF or motor underload fault.

Product Line:
Altistart ATS48

Environment:
All

Cause:
The soft starter is programmed for activation motor underload (ULL) in the Pr0 menu.
The motor underload threshold parameter (LUL) is set to 60% and the drive is running only 58% or lower motor torque viewed in the SUP menu parameter (Ltr).

Resolution:
Troubleshooting:
Check Motor underload threshold parameter (LUL) in menu PrO and compare it the motor torque parameter in the SUP menu.   If your LUL parameter is set lower then the Ltr in the SUP then the soft starter will trip on ULF fault.
