ResolutionMedia Access Control Address (MAC address or MAC ID) is a unique identifier assigned to all network interfaces.
PM8000 and ION7400 meters have two MAC addresses because they have two separate ethernet ports, but those ports do not currently operate independently; instead, the ethernet ports are internally switched, providing a similar function as a network pass-through point in either direction, but with a single IP address.
