Issue:
What does PIF fault indicate on the ATS22 soft start?

Product Line:
ATS22

Environment:
All models

Cause:
ATS22 faults on PIF.

Resolution:
PIF is a Phase Inversion Fault.  This is an indication that the phase rotation of the incoming three phase power on L1, L2, L3 is incorrect.   Factory default for this setting is deactivated.  It must be activated by the user to either 1,2,3 or 3,2,1. Look at Menu PrO, parameter PHr. It is used to prevent the motor from running in the wrong direction if the phasing of the incoming power to the starter reverses.  If PIF fault is occurring, check that the phase rotation of the incoming power has not been reversed.
