0-5V analog input NBAC0231 on my NetBotz appliance reads twice what it should

Version 2 NetBotz appliances (e.g. NetBotz 500 [NBWL0500]) have the ability to accept analog inputs from a variety of APC and 3rd party devices which are sensor based. These analog inputs are generally in the form of resistance, current and voltage and are accommodated by the NetBotz appliance through a variety of sensors and cables.
In the case of 0-5V analog devices, the connection between the analog sensor with a 0-5V analog output, and the NetBotz appliance, is performed via a specific NetBotz cable (NetBotz 0-5V sensor cable; NBAC0231).
APC has discovered the potential for some NBAC0231 cables to have been incorrectly manufactured, and as a result will provide measurements to the NetBotz device that are twice the magnitude that is being detected by the sensing device. There are no electrical safety issues related to this defect, only an incorrect analog voltage reading ranging from 0-5V.
So by way of an example: A sensor device that is providing an analog output of 1V, through a NetBotz cable that is functioning correctly will present an analog input of 1V on the input of the NetBotz appliance. A sensor device that is providing an analog output of 1V, through a NetBotz cable that is functioning incorrectly will present an analog input of 2V on the input of the NetBotz appliance.
I have a cable that has not been installed yet, how can I tell if it will function properly? With the NetBotz 0-5V sensor cable out of the plastic package it was shipped in, measure the resistance using an ohm meter between the red color and black color stripped wire on the cable. If this measures 2K ohms (2000 ohms), the cable will function correctly. If the value measured is 1K ohms (1000 ohms), the cable will not function correctly.
My cable is defective, what do I do now? Please contact APC at 1-800-800-4272 to return the existing cable for a replacement cable. Please obtain a RMA number from technical support for the returning cable and mark this on the outside of the shipping material prior to sending it to APC.
