Our E-waste recycling bins are located in easily accessible areas in wholesalers, supporting the recovery of valuable materials such as copper and aluminium. Diverting these materials from landfill back into circulation, supporting a more circular economy for the trade.

When E-waste recycling bins are easy to find and use, recycling becomes second nature rather than an extra step. Electricians are able to dispose of e-waste at chosen wholesalers without having to make additional trips to waste disposal sites.
A Clipsal, CNW Electrical and TerraCycle Initiative
E-waste recycling bins are a simple, all-in-one solution to recycle hard-to-recycle electrical waste, including Clipsal assembled products, switch and socket skins, and battery installed smoke alarms.
As part of a pilot partnership with TerraCycle and CNW Electrical, Clipsal is rolling out an E-waste recycling bin program across 19 wholesaler branches across QLD and NSW to support sparkies with appropriately disposing of their electrical waste.

How TerraCycle E-Waste Bins work for our wholesaler partners
Collecting waste
Once assembled, place the boxes in any high-traffic, accessible spot, and start collecting your waste for recycling. Please refer to the accepted and unaccepted waste listed on your E-Waste Bin.
Shipping your bin
When full, tape the box shut. It comes with an attached prepaid return shipping label. Simply drop it off at your local Australia Post location. If your business has a pre-existing daily pick-up with Australia Post, you can leave the box in your designated outbound shipping area.
Re-ordering bins
Once you’ve shipped off your e-waste bin and require a replacement, contact your dedicated Clipsal sales rep or reach out to our Sales Operations team at sales.ops@se.com for assistance.
Recyling materials
All compliant materials collected through e-waste bins are sorted and then processed into raw materials, which are then used to make new products. Find out more on how TerraCycle recycles waste below.
How to assemble TerraCycle E-Waste Bins at your wholesaler branch
Step 1: Fold bottom flaps
Unfold box and fold in the bottom flaps by number.
Step 2: Fold top flaps
Fold in the smaller top flaps and close the lid.
Step 3: Fold lid
Fold down the lid and insert the tab.
Step 4: Open
Press down on the perforated cut-out to open.
