Frequently Asked Questions
EV Charging Expert – Firmware Migration Blocked Due to Faulty or Invalid Connected Charger
Hide Show
Issue: EV Charging Expert (Load Management System) is unable to proceed with firmware migration if any connected charger is in a faulty, charging, or disconnected state.
Product Line: EcoStruxure EV Charging Expert
Environment: HMIBX1A0NEVB100SCP, HMIBSCEA53D1EM30
Resolution:
The firmware migration process in EV Charging Expert requires all connected EV chargers to be in a valid and healthy state.
If even one charger connected to the system is:
- In error state
- Actively charging
- Disconnected or not communicating properly
…the firmware migration will be blocked, and the customer may encounter this error during the upgrade process where the Migrate button will be greyed out.
Corrective Actions:
- Verify that all connected chargers are online and communicating correctly.
- Ensure no charger is actively charging during the migration.
- Resolve any existing faults or error states on all chargers.
- Confirm all chargers are in a ready / idle state before retrying the firmware migration.
Once the issue is resolved, the migration button will become available (enabled) again, allowing you to proceed with the firmware migration.
