Troubleshooting 3rd Party Meter Communication Issues in EVCE Webpage
Hide ShowIssue Summary:
The third-party meter status is showing a red cross on the EVCE webpage, signifying that there is no communication between the LMS and the meter.
Product Line:
- EcoStruxure EV Charging Expert (EVCE),
- Panel Server Universal (PAS600L),
- 3rd Party Meter
Environment:
- 3rd Party Meter (Crompton SL1-01), PAS600L, and LMS
Resolution:
Verify the IP address and slave address in the EVCE webpage.
- IP address should be that of the PAS600L.
- Slave address must match the meter’s configuration.
Check the custom meter settings in EVCE Webpage.
- Some meters may require register offsets (e.g., offset by 1).
Use a Modbus tool or the PAS600L webpage to read meter data.
- If data is visible, the meter and PAS600L are communicating correctly.
Confirm both the LMS and PAS600L are on the same network.
- Try pinging both IP addresses.
Disable DHCP client and manually set IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
