Why is there 750mm space required from the wall when installing a VarSet capacitor bank?

FAQ000281101

25 March 2026

The cooling occurs from the front and top of the unit. The 750 mm space is optional and is intended to provide access for removing the rear cover in case any maintenance is required on the components assembled at the rear side (e.g., tightening of the detuned reactor cable). However, most maintenance activities can be performed from the front side with the proper tools.
