Quick DALI scan: Quick DALI scan is the default scan which scans the DALI devices, device types and assigned short addresses. Performing a Quick DALI scan will:
- Address all unaddressed devices
- Discover all devices connected to the DALI gateway
- Discover all missing, duplicate and broken devices
Extended DALI Scan will scan the attributes/properties of all the DALI devices on the DALI line, performing an Extended DALI Scan will:
- Do Quick Scan
- Get DALI Group, DALI Scene, DALI device levels properties (Min, Max, Recovery & Fail)
During your process of scanning and commissioning your DALI line, there may be scenarios where you need to:
- View the properties of a Line Device
- Extract (transfer) information from Network Devices to your Devices in Project section
To do this you will need to perform a Full Gateway Scan, which retrieves the information stored in the C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway live on the network, including the C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway programming and the programming of all DALI Devices (according to the C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway).
The main objective of a Full Gateway Scan is to rebuild a project from a live/existing C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway on the network which is already programmed/configured (and operational) where a C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway does not exist in the project. This scan shall extract all the information within the C-Bus DALI-2 Gateway and include all the information presently known about the DALI devices on the lines of the Gateway. The Full Gateway Scan does not perform any new device discovery, nor does it discover or resolve faults, and does not readdress any unaddressed DALI devices.
