Important System Enhancement
Improved Order Processing Effective July 28, 2025
We’re excited to let you know about an important system upgrade that will make our order processing faster and more accurate—starting July 28, 2025.
What’s Changing?
We’re launching a new Quote-to-Order system that improves how we handle your orders behind the scenes. This upgrade has been in the works for 18 months and will help us serve you better.
What This Means for You:
- ✅ More accurate orders
- ⚙️ Faster processing for EDI orders
- 🔍 Improved tracking of your orders
What You Might Notice:
Most changes are internal, but here are two small updates you may see:
1.Quote Numbers:
- If you already receive quotes with a format like 2025-XXXX, nothing will change.
- If your quotes currently use SAP numbers (e.g., 217XXXX), they will now switch to the year- based format (e.g., 2025-XXXX).
2.Order Processing:
- If an existing quote is changed, it will get a new quote number and a new sales order with your existing Purchase order number when placed.
- If your purchase order includes multiple quotes, you’ll receive separate sales order confirmations for each one.
- All current quotes remain valid until used or expired.
- You can view all quotes (old and new) in mySchneider.
No Action Needed
You don’t need to do anything. Your ordering process, payment terms, and account setup all stay the same. You can chat with our customer service team via mySchneider for any enquiries or questions.

Q: Will I need to update how I place orders?
A: No, your ordering process stays exactly the same.
Q: What happens to my existing quotes?
A: They remain valid until they’re used or expire. You’ll still be able to see them in mySchneider.
Q: Why are quote numbers changing?
A: We’re moving to a consistent year-based format (e.g., 2025-XXXX) to improve tracking and simplify the process.
Q: What if I reference multiple quotes in one purchase order?
A: You’ll receive a separate sales order confirmation for each quote.
Q: Do I need to do anything to prepare for this change?
A: No action is required on your part.
Q: Who can I contact if I have questions?
A: Please reach out to your account manager or you can chat with our customer service team via mySchneider for any enquiries or questions.
