For Kevin Knott, founder of KJN Electrical in Brisbane, the best part of being a sparky is simple: seeing a home come alive. “What I love about being an electrician is being able to bring people’s homes to life and light up what they’ve built,” he says. It’s that spark — that moment when homeowners walk into a finished space glowing with warmth and function — that keeps Kevin fired up every day.
Starting his own business gave him room to be creative, to take on projects where he could shape the full experience from concept to completion. “We get to bring in all concepts of electrical. I love doing that and seeing people’s faces when they purchase their homes.”
