JWEC and Clipsal– Powering Communities with Purpose

From Apprentice to Managing Director: Jaden Woodbury’s Story

Jaden Woodbury is the Managing Director of JWEC, a medium-sized electrical contracting business based in Perth. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, and 13 years running JWEC, Jaden now leads a team of 40 staff working across commercial projects.

“We’re a medium-sized electrical contracting business, contracting in commercial projects throughout Perth.”

A Commitment to Quality Work and Strong Partnerships

JWEC’s work spans across education, high-end fit-outs, renovations, and new builds. The business continues to grow thanks to strong relationships and repeat clients.

“At JWEC, we mainly do commercial electrical work. Our main focus is education… a lot of our work is repeat business.”

Clipsal products have long been a part of JWEC’s success.

“We would use Clipsal products over any other brand, just based on its quality and durability and just the support on a warranty basis.”

Building a Culture of Inclusion and Support

JWEC is proud of the culture it has built. The business invests in regular team events, training, and apprenticeships.

“We’re trying to lift culture by throwing bi-monthly toolbox meetings… Also, we usually do social events every quarter.”

Jaden is also passionate about supporting more women into the trade.

“We currently have 14 apprentices. That’s a mixture of both male and female participants.”

Why Club Clipsal Matters

Jaden has been a Club Clipsal Principal Member since the day he started JWEC. The program has played a key role in helping him stay ahead.

“I love being a Club Clipsal member because it’s part of the Clipsal community. It offers ongoing events, product support, and you’re first to know about products that come out to the market.”

Looking Ahead

As JWEC continues to grow, Jaden remains focused on building a team with strong values, supporting apprentices, and staying at the forefront of innovation, thanks in part to Clipsal.

“My favourite Clipsal product would definitely be the Clipsal Pro Series… the Pro Series obviously gives a high IK rating… and offers identification windows for labelling.”
