Building Strong Relationships on the Coast
Copper Electrical’s clients come primarily through builders, designers, and architects, a network Mitch and his team have cultivated over many years.
“It’s taken a long time to develop all of the contacts that we have here on the coast. We just maintain that by turning up, doing a good job and providing the customer a good experience.”
Their specialty lies in high-end residential homes. Mitch loves the challenge and reward of working on custom builds.
Lighting That Transforms Spaces
One of Mitch’s favourite parts of the job is the design and installation of lighting.
“Often, you might walk into a home and just see a grid of downlights on the ceiling. In the homes that we do, we use lights in certain areas, ambient lighting, task lighting, to create a completely different vibe.”
He explains how choosing the right lighting temperature and colour truly changes a space.
Trusted Clipsal Products on Every Job
Copper Electrical relies on Clipsal’s innovative ranges to deliver quality and style.
“We often use the Clipsal Wiser range for lighting control in homes. It’s a great tool to create a vibe with one touch of a button, especially for landscape lighting or living areas.”
Mitch also praises the Clipsal Solis range of switches and outlets, which has quickly become popular with clients.
Embracing Solar and Energy Efficiency
With increasing energy demands, think induction cooktops, pool heating, and EV chargers, Mitch notes that solar systems and batteries are now a staple in most new homes.
“Being able to offset power with a big solar system and battery is definitely something our clients are very interested in.”
Club Clipsal: Building a Strong Trade Community
Mitch has been a Club Clipsal member for about seven years and served on the advisory board for three and a half years.
“I love Club Clipsal because it creates a community of other electricians who aren’t necessarily direct competitors. At events, people are more open to chat and share information.”
Advice for New Electricians
Mitch’s advice to newcomers is simple but crucial:
“Find a really good employer who’s going to provide some solid training in all aspects of electrical.”
