What is a smart home?

Meet Clipsal Wiser
Clipsal Wiser is a smart home solution that is easy to use and designed for flexibility. It doesn’t require special wiring so can be installed in a new build or an existing home, and you can start small in one or two rooms and then add to it over time.
Clipsal Wiser runs through an app on your smart device and can link with home assistant devices for voice control as well.
The Clipsal Iconic and Solis™ Collection light switches and power points integrate with Clipsal Wiser and additional products like blind controllers, smart sensors, and smart smoke alarms can all work together to help you manage your home.
Clipsal Wiser can also link with other home appliances that use an infrared (IR) remote control, such as audio systems and heat pumps.
Create your world with Wiser
Your Wiser system helps to give you peace of mind 24/7, wherever you are. Its Smart Smoke Alarms send an alert to your smart device if smoke is detected and can be set to turn on lights around the house at night to help everybody evacuate safely.
With Wiser Water Leakage Sensors in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry you’ll be notified instantly if a leak is detected, while Wiser Door and Window Sensors alert you if anything opens unexpectedly. You can even use Wiser to check if you’ve accidentally left the iron or electric blanket switched on and turn it off remotely.
A Wiser Temperature/Humidity sensor will let you know when your home reaches a certain temperature so you can turn on air conditioning or use your Wiser Blind Controllers to lower blinds and cool individual rooms.
Linking these elements in the Wiser by SE app is where you can truly shape your home to the way you want to live. Known as ‘Moments’, this feature lets you combine different actions in a single screen tap.
For example, a ‘Morning Moment’ could open all the blinds around the house and turn on the heated towel rails in the bathroom. An ‘Evening Moment’ could turn off all the main lights around the house, turn lamps on to a pre-set level of brightness, close the blinds, and set the living area to the perfect temperature.
Keep an eye on energy use
Clipsal Wiser lets you monitor and control your home’s energy usage through a dashboard on the Wiser by SE app. It provides insights into your energy consumption and helps you plan for more effective efficiencies to reduce your energy costs. Scheduling heated towel rails to run for only part of the day, or setting garden lights to shut off each night all add up to regular savings.
The Wiser Temperature/Humidity Sensor can link with your home’s heating and cooling system so that it activates only when needed to keep rooms at their ideal temperature. It can also automatically trigger extractor fans to remove moist air from laundries and bathrooms and turn them off again when the job is done.
You can create energy-saving Moments that turn off all unnecessary lights and appliances as you leave the house, or set an Automation to close shutters or blinds on sunnier days to help you manage your home’s climate more efficiently.

Charging your EV at home is easy, convenient, and energy efficient with Schneider Charge — especially once it’s linked to your Wiser smart home system.
The robust, weatherproof EV charger can be installed outside or in your garage and charges an electric vehicle faster, more reliably and with greater safety than with a domestic socket outlet.
With the Wiser app, you can schedule charging for the most energy efficient time and see at a glance when your EV is ready to go.
