This includes claims for pre-handover and post-handover.

To check the status of your warranty claim, please contact our warranty team by replying to the confirmation email which you should receive after submitting your warranty claim submission. Alternatively, you can contact our dedicated warranty team via phone (13 73 28).

We value the important role builders play in coordinating any required follow-up for homeowners during the default liability period. Warranty requests can be submitted on behalf of a homeowner from pre-handover through to 12 months post-handover.

Yes, during the pre-handover and initial post-handover period, warranty-related work can be managed by the builder’s own contractor.

If additional support is required, such as involvement from a Clipsal-nominated Service Agent, this will need to be noted within your warranty submission.

Pre-handover, please provide one of the following options:

  • Final Inspection report
  • Contractors/Electricians report
  • Certificate of Compliance

Post-handover, please provide one of the following options:

  • Invoice from Electrician
  • Proof of Installation (Certificate of Compliance)
  • Certificate of Occupancy or Final Inspection Document will be considered
  • Clipsal Warranty Handover Document
