How to set the IO Board Parameters in Scadapack Workbench?

The module_address parameter defines the module address of the sp5607 I/O module.

The address on the module is selected via dip switches on the module. A maximum of eight SCADAPack 5607 I/O type modules may be added to a system

The ain0_type parameter sets the analog input type for analog input channel 1.

There are four input types available.

  • An ain_type of 0 sets the input type to measure 0 to 5V input signals.
  • An ain_type of 1 sets the input type to measure 0 to 10V input signals.
  • An ain_type of 2 sets the input type to measure 0 to 20mA input signals.
  • An ain_type of 3 sets the input type to measure 4 to 20mA input signals.

The ain_filter Parameters:

  • An ain_filter value of 0 sets the input filter for 3Hz and the response time to 155ms at 60Hz and 185ms at 50Hz.
  • An ain_filter value of 1 sets the input filter for 6Hz and the response time to 85ms at 60Hz and 85ms at 50Hz.
  • An ain_filter value of 2 sets the input filter for 11Hz and the response time to 45ms at 60Hz and 55ms at 50Hz.
  • An ain_filter value of 3 sets the input filter for 30Hz and the response time to 30ms at 60Hz and 30ms at 50Hz.

The scan_freq parameter sets the input scan rate for analog inputs. AC noise rejection is improved at the correct frequency. If the module is used in a DC environment, the 60 Hz setting will yield slightly faster response time.

  • A scan_freq value of 0 synchronizes the input scanning to 60Hz.
  • A scan_freq value of 1 synchronizes the input scanning to 50Hz.

The aout_type parameter sets the analog output type for both optional analog output channels.

  • An aout_type value of 0 sets the output type for 0 to 20mA signals.
  • An aout_type value of 1 sets the output type for 4 to 20mA signals.


Can the RM6 take DIN type fuses other than FUSARC ?

Thanks to consult us on a case by case basis. RM6 is designed to accept any DIN cut-out MV fuses provided that their electrical characteristics (rating, cold resistance, thermal dissipation, time-current curves...) are in compliance with RM6 fuse-switch combination performance.
Maximum power that can be dissipated by fuse is 80W (with 40°C maximum ambient temperature)



Transition current for RM6 is :

-*- 1750A at 12kV

-*- 1550A at 17.5kV

-*- 1050A at 24kV



Breaking time of RM6 fuse-switch combination is 60mSec.



It should be borne in mind that 2 DIN fuses made by different manufacturers and with same nominal current rating can have totally different electrical characteristics : cold resistance, time-current time, striker-pin power,...

Basically, we only guarantee correct operation of RM6 combined with Fusarc CF.

Goals and Symptoms

My customer have a Siemens motor nr: 1PH7 107-xxFxx-x The encoder on this motor is of the type HTL-signal, 15VDC. Do we have any encoder card that support this kind of encoder "HTL signal" for the ATV71?

Causes and Fixes

The HTL is a type of Push Pull, then VW3A3405 or 06 or 07 option board depend the alimentation, can work without any problem on the HTL encoder. So be carreful you have to verrify the current consomation of your encoder in accordance to 175ma maximum up to 15V and 100ma up to 24V. Or you can add a external alimentation.

In the ATV71 catalogue the low level is < 1,5V, not compatible with HTL but this value is false, in reality we guarantee a low level <3V, 100% compatible with HTL technologie <2,8V.

How to find the modules in the SoSafe software for XPSMCMC0000S1 and S2?

For the expansion modules there is no configuration required or possible
          This means that there is no impact
on the configuration when you split the safety module to different island.
 

When adding an input module or several, the process image will not be extended only into end, but
the process image will be automatically rearranged according to type of modules following the order in next list:

1. XPSMCMCP0802*
2. XPSMCMMX0802*
3. XPSMCMDI1600*
4. XPSMCMDI0800*
5. XPSMCMDI1200MT*
6. XPSMCMEN0200SC* or XPSMCMEN0200HT* or XPSMCMEN0200TT*
7. XPSMCMEN0100SC* or XPSMCMEN0100HT* or XPSMCMEN0100TT*
8. XPSMCMEN0200*

This means, if adding a XPSMCMMX0802 module to rack and configuration behind an existing DI module,
the addressing of inputs of MX module will appear in front of addressing of inputs of DI module.

Also, What does it mean by "The XPSMCMCO0000S1• module has only one channel and must be connected as the first (remote) or last (local) module."???  page 142 of the user manual.

  The XPSMCMCO0000S1• module has only one channel (connector for an RS485 cable) and can only used as the first (remote) or last (local) module in the chain.
  But you can use the XPSMCMCO0000S2• instead of an XPSMCMCO0000S1•
module!!!

  if you have an expansion bus with 3 or more island, each island in the middle need an RS485 connecting (channel) to the previous and a second RS485 connection (channel) to the following island in the chain.
  Only the first and the last island in the chain need only one connection (channel) to another island.
 

The XPSMCMCO0000S• are communication expansion modules which allow the connection of XPSMCMCP0802• Modular Safety Controller with expansion modules placed remotely (≤50 m/≤164 ft). Up to six islands can be created using the communication modules with a total length of 250 meters (820.2 ft) and a maximum of 50 meters (164 ft) between two communication modules.
The system response time does not change with the use of the communication modules.
Using RS-485 shielded cable (see page 175), two XPSMCMCO0000S• modules placed at the desired distance can be linked together thus joining the expansion modules to the controller.
Each XPSMCMCO0000S2• module has two independent connection channels; the connection of two XPSMCMCO0000S2• modules can be accomplished by wiring either channel.


With the setup above, can the EIP module on the local rack have all of the status of the remote IO modules?
   Yes, the communication module get all the data from the CPU module and must therefore be mounted on the local island (together with the CPU module).
