Is there a non metallic circuit breaker enclosure available for the Molded Case Circuit Breakers?

      Issue:
Is there a non-metallic (ie. fiberglass, etc) breaker enclosure for MCCBs?

      Product Line:
      Circuit Breaker Enclosure

      Environment:

      Resolution:
There are no circuit breaker enclosures available for molded case circuit breakers that is manufactured from a non metallic material. Only metal type enclosures are available.

Where can you find the date code on enclosures for molded case circuit breakers?

      Issue:
Where is the date code on Square D circuit breaker enclosures?

      Product Line:
      Circuit Breaker Enclosures

      Environment:
Circuit Breaker Enclosures for Powerpact and Legacy Molded Case Circuit Breakers

      Cause:
      Identify Date Code

      Resolution:
The date code will be an ink stamp, normally located on the inside surface of the enclosures rear wall, towards the top endwall. It will be a 5 or 6 digit code. First two digits indicate the year it was built, the 2nd two digits indicate the week of the year, the 5th digit indicates the day of the week and the 6th digit (if used) indicates the shift. e.g. 083243 would indicate that enclosure was built by 3rd shift on Thursday, August 7, 2008.

What would be one possible cause of stop code 8180H or 80H in a Unity Quantum HSBY system ?

If the default Watch Dog Timer value of 250 milliseconds is lowered on a Quantum HSBY system, there exists the possibility
that the Quantum PLC will stop with an error code 8180 during initial start up. The condition occurs because the scan time
will increase as the Primary attempts to copy the logic to Standby during start up, this results in the WDT expiring and a
no end of logic error because the tranfer was incomplete.

Lowering the default WDT setting is not a recommended practice for HSBY systems.

How to configure the ports for XBTGT communication over Ethernet link?

      Goals and Symptoms

How to configure the ports for XBTGT communication over Ethernet link?

      Facts and Changes

When we use Ethernet link with some routers or switches or firewall, an error message could occur when the communication ports are not opened: ports 80, 8080, 6000, 6001, 13777

      Causes and Fixes

When we use Ethernet link with some routers or switches or firewall, they have something called Sophisticated Access Control Lists (ACLs) and enhanced security. You can configure access lists at your router to control access to a network: access lists can prevent certain traffic from entering or exiting a network
(for example, you could read more details on https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/11_3/security/configuration/guide/scacls.html)

In order to configure the router, we need to perform the following actions:
      - to check in the user guide for the router wich ports are used
      - to discuss with the IT engineer on how to diagnose the network

Regarding XBTGT terminal, we must ensure that the following ports are open for access:
      - ports 6000 & 6001: Data sharing exchange for variables
      - port 13777: download, upload, transfer data (including recipes) and data manager
      - ports 80 & 8080 : web gate

      • Enter 0000h. This will stop the clock from being updated

      2) Set the TOD registers 4x + 1 to 4x + 7 to the correct time.

      3) From the Control Register 4x, enter 8000h (This sets bit 1, Clock value are being set).
If successful, the control Register should display 2000h,

      4) From the Control Register 4x

      • Enter 4000h (This sets bit 2, Clock values are being read)
If successful, the control Register should display 2000h

      MF-63103, MF-63123 to M400, or M800 Wiring Instructions (Airflow)

The below  schematic works for M400 & M800 actuators.  The system needs a 30VA transformer for the new actuator.  The actuator dipswitches need to be adjusted for Floating [24v open & 24v close] dipswitches 1 & 2 on and the rest off.

      Manual Operation
There is a red manual operation handle on the actuator, see figure 2.  When it is lowered, the motor stops. Then the actuator can be operated manually if the handle is turned.

      Original Wiring

      New Wiring

ATTENTION: Actuators are shipped with manual override lowered (MAN). For normal operating, the handle must be raised (AUTO).
