            This phenom can occur when the 24V used for the logical input is connected in some coil of relay or of electromagnet and so on.
            It's due to the overvoltage generated by Ldi/dt when you cut a continue voltage on a coil (L).
            It's possible to reduce the level of this overvoltage, use LA4KC1B or LA4DE2U.

            Why does my other equiptment trip when my contactor releases?

            The colapsing coil voltage on DC is causing a Back EMF (electro magnetic field) issue. This is solved with either a varistor LA4SKE1E or a Diode LA4SKC1U on the LP1K09 contactor.

            No. The LA4DC1U diode unit will only fit the older TeSys D contactors. Tesys D DC coils include suppression automatically, it`s not needed.

            No.  The voltage code BD3 is for the CA4D Low Consumption relays only.   A 24 volt DC coil with built in transient suppression is not available on the CA3D relay.    Use the add on LA4DA1E varister style or the LA4DC1U diode style add on transient suppressors on the CA3D relays.
