Resolution:  
The MB breaker has a shorter handle, so that it will not interfere with the door closing on a panel.  

Note:  
The MB suffix has a handle that is .325 inches shorter than the standard handle.  

How to program an ATV18 drive for 2 wire control and low speed as speed reference?

Issue:
ATV18 driveset up for 2 wire control and low speed as speed reference.

Product Line:
ATV18, Altivar 18.

Environment:

Cause:
Programming and setup.

Resolution:
2 wire control for ATV18 drive will be between LI1 and +24V terminals.  A maintained dry contact or a jumper can act as a run command. 
Low speed can be used to control the drive locally. 
The low speed parameter can be programmed by hitting down arrow key on the drive until LSP is shown. 
Once LSP shows up press data and use the up and down arrow keys to adjust setting.  Once satisfied with speed press enter to save the setting.

Cause:
They can not get the the bottom cover off to check the power terminals.

Resolution:
1st Turn off all power make sure the drive is not powered up and the DC bus is discharged before starting.
You will need to turn the set screw counter clockwise on the control terminal pod.  Next use a flat head screw drive to pry the corners on each side the cover to see if you can work it loose.  Then pull  down cover to remove it.

How is an Altivar VFD set to always run a particular speed when no reference input is connected?

Issue:
Wants the Altivar VFD set to always run at a particular speed when no reference input is connected.

Altivar 12, 32, 312, 61, 71, 212, 320

Cause:
VFD does not run the motor without a speed reference.

Resolution:
If there is no external speed reference when the VFD gets a run command, then it will always run at the minimum speed programmed to the VFD.  Set the minimum speed parameter to the desired run speed.  Use parameter LSP for the Altivar12, 32, 312, 320, 61, 71 drives.  Use parameter LL for the Altivar 212 drive.  These can be adjusted while the motor is running.

What does the "pedestal" setting on ATV61 & ATV71 do and how do I program it?

Issue:
Meaning and configuration of "pedestal" option on ATV61/71.

Clarification of this setting is needed by the customer.

Resolution:
The "Pedestal" setting is an option of the Reference Template parameter, and can be found under menu 1.5, Inputs / Outputs configuration.

With Reference Template set to Standard (factory default), the input frequency reference will adjust the motor speed between the LSP parameter and the HSP parameter. With Reference Template set to "Pedestal" the input frequency reference will adjust the motor speed between 0 Hz. and HSP parameter

Example: Low Speed = 30 Hz, High Speed = 60Hz. Input speed reference is 0-10V on AI1 terminal.

With Reference Template set to Standard, the motor will run at 30Hz when the input speed reference is 0V and will increase in speed as the input speed reference increases. If the 0-10V speed input is 5.0 volts (50%) then the speed of the motor will be 50% between LSP (30Hz.) and HSP (60Hz.) or 45Hz.

With Reference Template set to Pedestal, the motor will run at 30Hz. (50% of 0-60Hz) until the 0-10V speed reference reaches 5.0V (50% of 0-10V) and will then start to increase in speed as the speed reference rises above 50%.

Essentially, Reference Template determines whether the low end of the frequency reference is in relation to 0.0Hz, or in relation to the Low Speed Setting.
