                      The HS code for the HMISTU655 is 8537102000.

                      What is the difference between the HMIS5T and the HMISTU655 or HMISTU855?

                      Issue: The part numbers of the HMISTU series are not self explanatory.

                      Product Line: HMISTU series

                      Resolution: Here is a better description of what the HMISTU part numbers consist of.

                      The HMISTU655 consists of the HMIS5T back module + the HMIS65 (3.5" color screen)
                      The HMISTU855 consists of the HMIS5T back module+ the HMIS85 (5.7" color screen)
                      The Screen and back modules can be purchased seperately or together.

                      The HMIS5T back module has 64MB of DRAM and 32MB of application flash.  This is twice the amount of memory from the first generation of HMISTU. 

                      HMIS5T back module requires Vijeo Designer V6.0 SP3 to select the HMIS5T in the configuration. Note that all HMIS5T's manufactured after November 2018 will require Vijeo Designer V6.2 SP7. There will be a label on the rear moduel indicating this.

                      In Vijeo Designer, always select the correct target type as listed on the label of the rear module. Do not use the target type model HMISTU655 or HMISTU855 unless your label indicates that.

                      The suffix s in HMISTU655s and HMISTU855s indicates that the Vijeo Designer Limited disk is included with the package.  No software registration is needed for the HMISTU.





                       

                      How can I upload an application from a Magelis HMISTU655?


                      1) Set the Data Location, "Data Files / Forms" to Optional Drive.
                      2) Expand Download under the target properties.
                      3) Set the "Include Editor Project" to enable.
                      4) Connected a USB Flash drive to the HMISTU655 formatted to FAT32.
                      5) Download the Vijeo Designer application to the HMISTU655.

                      This resolution provides a solution for setting serial communication between a Magelis HMISTU655 and a Twido. The RS485 port 1 and port 2 will be used on the Twido to communicate to a HMISTU655 HMI.
                      Causes and Fixes

                      Hardware:
                      TWDLCDA24DRF : Twido Compact PLC
                      TWDNAC485D: RS 485 connection module for Compact base
                      HMISTU655: Magelis HMI 3.5"

                      XBTZ9780 cable: Serial communication cable:

                      Issue
                      If I am working on my HMISTU screen without a PLC connected for time sync, how do I access my screen when the HMISTU shows the message "Waiting for Time Sync"?

                      Cause
                      The HMISTU does not have a battery backup of its internal clock, so it depends on syncing its clock with a PLC upon startup.
                       
                      Resolution
                      To get past the "Waiting for time sync…" message on the HMI screen, 
                      1. Touch the bottom-right corner of the screen
                      2. Wait 0.5 to 0.75 seconds
                      3. Touch the top-left corner
                      4. to get into the System configuration screen. From there, the Date/Time can be adjusted manually.
                      Note 1: You may try repeating steps 1-3 alternating corners if you can't get the timing on the first try.
                      Note 2: This is the default method for getting to the System Configuration screen of the HMI.
