        Is it possible to use the current Limiter LA9LB920 or GV1L3 with Tesys GV3 range of MPCB to increase the breaking capacity.

        LA9LB920 and GV1L3 current limiter are dedicated to Tesys GV2 Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB) product range and can be used with MPCB rated up to 32A (maximum current range of Tesys GV2 products).
         
        The new Tesys GV3 range does not have current limiter to increase its breaking capacity.
         
        If higher breaking capacity for Tesys GV3 is needed, use in association with fuses can increase the breaking capacity of the system up to the fuse performance breaking capacity.

        GV2G05 does not line up with GV2P08 terminals when using GV2G45. Is another part required?

        Connector diagram in catalogue only shows GV2ME. As the GV2P (and GV2L) are deeper than the GV2ME the terminals will not line up with the terminals of the GV2G05

        For GV2P height compensation bracket GV1F03 is required (not shown in diagram). This will raise GV1F03 so the terminals are in line with the terminals of the GV2P.

        What items does the GV2PC02 enclosure suit?

        The GV2PC02 is for GV2P and GV2L, 0.55 to 15kW.

        Do the GV7 and the LR9F trip on phase loss?

        Yes they do, though their trip time for "unbalanced phases" is much faster than that of the conventional thermal magnetic overloads, such as GV2/3 series or LRD series.

        The GV7 and LR9F series will both trip after 4 seconds (+ or - 20%) on phase loss where an LRD or GV2/3 can keep running for up to 2 hours unless an overload is detected in the remaining phases.

        Is there an additional light diffuser available for XVB and XVD illuminated Tower Beacons

        Yes, the light diffuser, part number XVBZ18 (consisting of two half-cylinders) can be placed in the illuminated lens unit so as to create a new light prism.
        The assembly offers more diffuse light, thus enhancing visual comfort. It can also be used with illuminated lens units with flashing LEDs.

        Caution! The XVBZ18 diffuser cannot be fitted on:

        • Incandescent bulbs (because of the heat released)
        • Flash discharge tubes (XVBC6, XVBC8 and XVDC6)
        • XVBL, XVDL3 and XVDL4 beacons
        • It is also incompatible with the whole range of XVP and XVE indicator banks and beacons

        Compatible products on which the diffuser can be fitted are:
        • XVB illuminated lens unit with built-in LED
        • XVB beacon with built-in LED
        • XVD indicator bank with pre-wired LED
        • XVB and XVD LED bulb with BA15d base fitting

        The diffuser is fitted as standard to built-in LED illuminated lens units part number XVBC2B*D (where * is the lens colour)

        What is the operation of the GV2AD fault signalling contacts of the GV2 motor protection circuit breakers?

        GV2ME, GV2P, GV2L, GV2LE, GV3P and GV3L Motor protection circuit breakers (MPCB) can be fitted with the following optional fault indicating contact blocks:
         

        GVAD0110
        GVAD0101
        GVAD1010
        GVAD1001

        These blocks comprise of fault signalling contacts and instantaneous auxiliary contacts

        GVAD0110

        A N/O instantaneous auxiliary contact (terminals 53-54), closed when the device is energized and open when the device is de-energized

        A N/C fault signalling contact (terminals 95-96), closed if there is no fault, open when a fault (magnetic or thermal) occurs. 

        GVAD0101

        A N/C instantaneous auxiliary contact (terminals 51-52), closed when the device is de-energised and open when the device is energised.

        A N/C fault signalling contact (terminals 95-96), closed if there is no fault, open when a fault (magnetic or thermal) occurs. 

        GVAD1010 

        A N/O instantaneous auxiliary contact (terminals 53-54), closed when the device is energized and open when the device is de-energized.

        A N/O fault signalling contact (terminals 97-98), open if there is no fault, closed when a fault (magnetic or thermal) occurs. 
         

        GVAD1001

        A N/C instantaneous auxiliary contact (terminals 51-52), closed when the device is de-energized and open when the device is energized.

        A N/O fault signalling contact (terminals 97-98), open if there is no fault, closed when a fault (magnetic or thermal) occurs. 
         


        The instantaneous auxiliary contact test is performed by creating a state of transition of the handle actuator between the de-energized position and the energized position.

        The fault contact test is performed by pressing the test button when the handle actuator is in the closed position.
