Energy efficiency rating (EER) or coefficient of performance (COP),  is a measure to assess heat pumps and air conditioners.  The Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of a particular cooling device is the ratio of output cooling (in Btu/hr) to input electrical power (in watts) at a given operating point. EER is generally calculated using a 95F outside temp and an inside (actually return air) temp of 80F and 50% relative humidity. The EER is related to the coefficient of performance (COP) commonly used in thermodynamics, with the primary difference being that the COP of a cooling device is unit-less: the cooling load and the electrical power needed to run the device are both measured using the same units, e.g. watts. Therefore a COP is universal and can be used in any system of units. EER = COP * 3.412 .

 In regards to Schneider Electric's cooling products this can be calculated from the Technical Data Manuals, or Technical Data Specifications. Customer can calculate these if they choose, however, the "rating point" or "condition" need to be known.  This could be the expected return air temps or another value based on a competitors product rating point.

The APC Environmental Monitoring specification sheet states relative humidity (RH) is +/- 50f scale (from 15°C to 30°C). This means that at any point, the relative humidity measurement can be off by as much as 4.5% (50f full scale which is 90% RH). Instruments which claim accuracy as percent of reading are usually more accurate, as well as more expensive.

What Does All This Really Mean? - This means that if the actual relative humidity was 30%, the APC Environmental Monitoring product could read anywhere from 25.5% to 34.5% RH. If your horse hoof meter was reading 30%, the Environmental Monitoring product could actually read 34.5%, which is about 15-1073744256gh. As with any instrument which claims accuracy as a percent of scale, the accuracy gets worse as the actual value gets lower. This property also applies to the Environmental Monitoring products.

Please keep in mind that these sensors are proximity based, meaning they measure the temperature in a specific location (such as a rack). It is usually the case to monitor a higher temperature near datacenter equipment over what the thermostat for the room is reporting.

Once your application has consumed 90% of free memory it is recommended that you increase the amount of available SRAM.

Web Applications Diagram (WebReach) user on the network is possibly using XML scraping process to pull real time data into third party system. Scraping XML process impacts performance of PME server and therefore not supported.

1) Setting power factor to 0.9 will only affect the real power export when the inverter is operating at > 90% of its capacity which is a very small amount of the time.

2) Being able to set the power factor (reactive power control) allows larger inverter systems to be connected to the grid. It also assists electricity network providers increases the penetration of solar inverter systems a network can handle.

3) A solar inverter system with reactive power control will trip less frequently. 

Benefits provided by 2 & 3 far outweight slight Disadvantage of 1.

*A "self-powered" hub is a hub that gets its power from the wall outlet as opposed to getting its power directly through the PC.

Cause:
If you are using a self-powered USB hub to connect multiple devices to your PC, plug the power cable of the hub into the Battery Backup outlet. Don't use the wall socket. This will ensure that the hub and the connected devices still work during a power failure. This will also slow down the system shut down initiated by the UPS or the user.

 

Solution:

1. Connect the Power Cable of the Battery Backup to the PC.

2. Connect the Power Cable of the hub into the Battery Backup outlet.

3. Connect the devices (printer, scanner, mobile phone etc...) to the self-powered hub and plug the Hub Communications Cable to the USB port located on the PC.

The Internal Protection (IP) standard describes a system for classifying the degrees of protection provided by the enclosures of electrical equipment.
