What is the mounting base adapter for the Infrascan PIR sensor 750WPR?

The part number of the Infrascan sensor mounting base is 750MBA and is only available in colour grey. 750MBA mounting base has five M20 cable gland entries and four 20mm / 25mm cable entry knockouts. A gasket is also supplied with the base which when used on a smooth surface, provides a weatherproof seal between the base and mounting surface.

Why is the lens on my 750WPR5 bowed when I got it out of the box?

The unit is IP66 rated, which means it is totally sealed. If the Infrascan has been freighted via air, the cabin pressure and the sealed unit can force the lens to bow. Once the unit is exposed to the sun/warmth the lens will return back to its normal state.

Is the 750WPR5 suitable for outdoor use?

Yes.

The product has an IP rating of IP66. An IP66 rating means that the unit doesn’t allow dust or strong jets of water to enter the inside of the unit.
The product can be installed on the outside of the home in the elements with no protection as long as it is installed correctly using the gasket supplied and following the instructions.

Can the new 750WPR5 be used to easily replace an older version of the 750WPR?

Yes, the mounting base is the same dimensions and use the same 84mm mounting holes, meaning it is full retrofittable with the previously model

How do I trigger the override function on the 750WPR5?

Ensure the sensor is in Automatic Operation mode. Turn the wall switch controlling the sensor OFF, ON, OFF and ON within 2 seconds. Sensor is now in an 8-hour override mode. After this period times out, the sensor will return to automatic operation mode. To cancel manual override mode prior to 8 hours expiring, turn the wall switch OFF and then ON within 2 seconds.

Note - The override function has the load stay on for 8 hours. This can NOT be configured to change the 8 hours to be longer or shorter. You can only shorten this override with physical switch presses.

What happens to the 750WPR5 when first powered up?

On start up, wait at least 30 seconds for the unit to stabilise. When first switched on, the 750WPR5 will switch the load on for the period of time the 'Timer' trimpot/dial is set to.
