        The cover plate is no longer available for the old version of sockets.

        Why does PowerChute Personal Edition hang / stall during the installation when asked to select an installation folder?


        Issue:
        During the installation of PowerChute Personal Edition when asked to select an installation folder after clicking the Next button the installation hangs / stalls.

        Product Line:
        PowerChute Personal Edition (PCPE)

        Environment:
        PCPE versions 3.0, 3.0.0.1, 3.0.2
        Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10

        Cause:
        Incomplete removal of McAfee software
        Or
        corruption in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)

        Solution:

        If the system had McAfee software uninstalled at any time PCPE may not install properly due to an incomplete uninstall.
        Go to
        https://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
        download the McAfee uninstaller patch, run that, reboot the system, and then run the PCPE installer.

        If the issue is not due to incomplete McAfee uninstall it could be caused by corruption in the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

        Run these commands from the command prompt.

         Click Start, Run and type CMD.EXE

         Note: For Vista and Windows 7, 8, 10 you need to open Command Prompt window as an administrator. To do so, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

        For all OS:

        Note: To save time and effort copy and paste the commands.
        •     Net stop winmgmt (answer yes to any questions asked)
        •     cd C:/Windows/system32/wbem
        •     xcopy Repository Repository.old
        •     rmdir /s Repository (answer yes to any questions asked)
        •     Net start winmgmt

        For Windows XP:
        •     rundll32 wbemupgd, UpgradeRepositor

        For Vista and Windows 7, 8, 10 :
        •     winmgmt /salvagerepository

        For all OS run these commands:
        •     cd /d %windir%\system32\wbem
        •     for %i in (*.dll) do RegSVR32 -s %i
        •      for %i in (*.exe) do %i /RegServer


        After running "for %i in (*.exe) do %i /RegServer" the above pop up window will appear. Just X out / close the window.

        Now reboot the system and then run the PCPE installer.

        Scale the Analog Output (FM) on the ATV212 drive.

        All models and serial numbers.

        Resolution:
        When using voltage (0-10Vdc) connect your load prior to calibration.  When using current (4-20mA) connect the load after calibration.
         
        If you want to follow OUTPUT CURRENT (FMSL = 1)
        4-20mA (no load)
        1. Set DIP switch FM (SW101) to "I" (left)
        2. Set F692 for 20 (20% of 20mA = 4mA)
        3. Set FMSL to 15 
        4. Go to parameter FM and enter
        5. Connect the current meter to terminals FM and CC
        6. Press the UP and DOWN arrows until meter reads desired 100% (20mA)
        7. Press enter to lock in the scale
        8. Set FMSL = 1 to follow motor current
        0-10Vdc (connect the load)
        1. Set DIP switch FM (SW101) to "U" (right)
        2. Set F692 to 0 (0% of 10V = 0V)
        3. Set FMSL to 15
        4. Go to parameter FM and enter
        5. Connect the volt meter to terminals FM and CC
        6. Press the UP and DOWN arrows until meter reads desired 100% (10Vdc)
        7. Press enter to lock in the scale
        8. Set FMSL = 1 to follow motor current
        ALL OTHER analog output functions (FMSL = 0,2,3 - 18)
        4-20mA (no load)
        1. Set DIP switch FM (SW101) to "I" (left)
        2. Set F692 for 20 (20% of 20mA = 4mA)
        3. Set FMSL to 17
        4. Go to the FM parameter and enter
        5. Connect the current meter to terminals FM and CC
        6. Press the UP and DOWN arrows until meter reads desired 100% (20mA)

        8. Set FMSL back to the analog output function you want to follow  per the table below.
        0-10Vdc (connect the load)
        1. Set DIP switch FM (SW101) to "U" (right)
        2. Set F692 to 0 (0% of 10V = 0V)
        3. Set FMSL to 17 
        4. Go to parameter FM and enter
        5. Connect the meter between terminals FM and CC
        6. Press the UP and DOWN arrows until meter reads desired 100% (10Vdc)
        7. Press enter to lock in the scale
        8. Set FMSL back to the analog output function you want to follow  per the table below.

        Note:  Calibration can also be performed using the VW3A1101 remote keypad.  Turn the knob clockwise instead of using the up arrow and turn counter clockwise instead of  using the down arrow.
