          Is the PDL 581 hinge flap mech the same as 600 series one

          Yes the 681 hinge flap mechs are the same size

          Can the 681 switch fluorescent lights

          Yes but only up to 19A

          What is the dimensions for a PDL 681 1-Gang Switch ?

          Overall Dimensions - 118mm x 74mm
          Mounting Centres - 84mm

          What is the Code for the metal cover plate for the PDL685VH?

          The 685 and the 686 take the same coverplate so the code is the PDL686MSS (for stainless steel)

          Is the 683 waterproof switches available with press mechs

          No, not available

          Are there any metal finish cover plates available for the PDL 651?

          Yes, the PDL 682 coverplate is the same one used for the PDL 651. The metal cover plates are available in Polished Brass (PB), Brushed Bronze (BBZ) and Stainless Steel (SS).
          Code example (PDL 651 coverplate in Polished Brass): PDL 682MPB

          How do the PDL 600 and 800 series product codes work?

          As a general rule of thumb -
          PDL items require PDL at the front of the code.
          600 series item codes start with 6.
          600 series switch codes start with 68.
          The number of switches fitted in the plate is the 3rd number in the code, 681 = single 600 series switch, 682 = double 600 series switch
          600 series socket codes start with 69.
          The 3rd digit in a socket code indicates the type of socket, 691 = single vertical socket, 692 = double vertical socket, 694 = single horizontal socket, 695 = double horizontal socket.
          Most codes require a colour code at the end, WH = white, BK = black.
          eg. To order a black double vertical switched socket the complete code would be PDL692BK.
          800 series (Modena) item codes start with 8 and follow the same format as above. (800 series items with Strato plates start with S8...)
          eg. An 800 series Modena double switch in white = PDL882WH, a Strato double horizontal switched socket in black = PDLS895BK
          In both series metal cover plates are an extra option to be supplied separately, coded to fit the plate required, eg. 600 series single switch metal plate in Stainless Steel = PDL681MSS (M = Metal, BBZ = Brushed Bronze, PB = Polished Brass) Some plastic cover plates are available eg. PDL681CWH (C = Cover), PDL800PSCH (PS = Plastic Surround, CH = Champagne, there are 9 colour options in 800 series)
          Strato brushed aluminium plates also need BK or WH to decide the trim colour, eg. PDLS800CBABK or PDLS800CBAWH (C = Cover , BA = Brushed Aluminium)
          Module grids with covers are available in BK or WH, eg. PDL684VHWH (VH = vertical/horizontal since the grid is empty and module can be fitted either way), PDLS800GPSBK (GPS = Grid, Plate, & Surround).
          Grids without covers included are only available in Modena 800 series, PDL800G (horizontal) or PDL800GV (vertical)
          Refer pdl.co.nz for further details and options.

          How much power is dissipated by the high end Quantum PLCs?

          This can be calculated as Bus Current * Bus Voltage.

          140 CPU 651 50 -> 2160mA * 5V = 10.8W
          140 CPU 651 60 -> 2760mA * 5V = 13.8W

          140 CPU 651 60S-> 2760mA * 5V = 13.8W
          140 CPU 652 60 -> 2760mA * 5V = 13.8W
          140 CPU 658 60 -> 2760mA * 5V = 13.8W

          140 CPU 670 60 -> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W
          140 CPU 671 60 -> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W
          140 CPU 671 60S-> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W

          140 CPU 672 60 -> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W
          140 CPU 672 61 -> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W

          140 CPU 678 61 -> 2500mA * 5V = 12.5W

          To calculate BTU you can take the wattage and multiply it by 3.4144.

          1. IEC 62053-22 Accuracy Class 0.2 or Class 0.5 at 25°C (77°F)
          2. ANSI C12.20 Accuracy Class 0.2 or Class 0.5 at 25°C (77°F)

          Specialized electrical testing EQUIPMENT is used to calibrate in production line. The procedure aims to calibrate the meters voltage, current and frequency. A meter type specific set of voltage, current, PF and frequency points are applied.

          * Eliminated all references to the range of current level employed in the testing sweeps of the conformance testing procedure since this is not relevant in the context of the level of detail of this article.
          * Eliminated references to the frequencies at which the conformance testing is conducted because the details are actually more complicated than simply 50 and 60 Hz.

          Is it possible to give Start/Stop commands from PLC via Modbus Port on LUCM module of TeSys U.

          You can connect the Modbus port of LUCM module (Multi Functional Control Unit) of TeSys U controller with PLC in order to access all the registers, except the registers from 680 to 705. To access these registers for write function, you need a communication module depending on the protocol.

          Therefore the command registers (like Start/Stop) 700,703,704,705 cannot be accessed for writing by the PLC via LUCM Modbus port. However, you can read and monitor the values of Tesys U controller.

          It is possible to use HMI as Remote Gateway for OPC Server access to connect PLCs on Remote side?

          Until SoMachine V3.1 / VJD 6.1 it was possible to connect Remote PLC to an OPC Server by using the remote HMI as Gateway.

          With VJD 6.2 SP 2.x this was not any more working, because of an issue inside the VJD runtime.

          But in VJD 6.2 SP3 it is fixed and can be used again.

          171CCC9x0x0 M1E Processor 984LL Exec. Upgrade to v.1.28

          Release Notice

          The purpose of this resolution is to inform Momentum M1E users that the 984LL Exec. has been upgraded to version 1.28 on Jan 4, 2008.

          Goals and Symptoms

          984LL Exec version 1.28 resolves the following issues:

          • 1) Fixes a problem in the M1E web page where the 'TCP Retry' counter would increment every time a TCP MSTR Function Block was activated.

            2) The PSH flag is no longer set in the SYN or FIN. Previous versions of the Exec would set the PSH flag in the SYN or FIN.

            3) The M1E will now respond to a second ARP request.

            4) Crash code 631 would occur under certain conditions

            5) Fixes an issue if two or more MSTRs are programmed in logic, randomly one of the MSTRs may stop operating (freeze) for up to 3-5 minutes before recovering on its own.

          Facts and Changes

          This resolution affects the following processors:
          · 171CCC98030
          · 171CCC96030
          · 171CCC98020
          · 171CCC96020

          • Note: It is recommended to power cycle the M1E immediately after downloading an Exec.

          Causes and Fixes

          Installing 984LL Exec. v.1.28 resolves the above mentioned issues.

          A mask is applied to the raw data received from a register. The mask is applied in an AND fashion.
          For example, if the mask “0x4” is applied, then the register value displayed is only nonzero if the 2nd most significant bit in the register is a 1 (X#XXXXXXXXXXXXXX).

          Note:
          You can apply masks to both numeric and Boolean data types. To apply custom masks, scroll down the list and select Custom. When prompted, enter the value in Decimal, Binary, or Hexadecimal format. Custom mask can be used to allow 1 or more bits to be visible from the register being masked.

          Here is a chart for a visual of the mask

          Example:
          An end user with a Micrologic Trip Unit might want to know Breaker Status (closed, open).
          Register 661 bit 0 is the status bit.

          To create this register point we would use Register Mask 0x0001.

          Clogging substances can damage the pump.
          This function allows manually or automatically executing forward & reverse pump rotations cycles to unclog.
          It may also help to clear a blocked impeller, pipe, or valve at downstream location.
          This should increase he efficiency of the system as well as the pump life time.
