Can the C-Bus Pascal Automation Controller USB cable remain connected?

The 5500PACA Pascal Automation Controller (PAC) has two modes - Controller and PC Interface. Only one mode can work at a time.

Controller mode: The PAC can be programmed providing advanced C-Bus control, such as scheduling, scene control and logic control.

PC Interface mode: The PAC also provides a USB communication interface between a PC and a C-Bus installation. This can be used by the C-Bus Toolkit software when configuring a C-Bus installation.

Controller Mode is the default function when not being used as a PC Interface, this runs the PAC programming to control C-Bus, however the USB cable can remain connected to the PAC as long as C-Bus Toolkit or PICED are not trying to connect to it as a PC Interface
