What is the minimum opening time & closing time for the LF Circuit Breaker.

Schneider Make Circuit Breakers are designed on mean opening time or closing time.

The value is same for LF1 or LF2 or LF3 Circuit Breakers. It is linked to the operating mechanism RI used for all the LF Circuit Breaker.
  1. Mean opening time at Un : 48 ms.
  2. Mean Closing time at Un: 65 ms.

Where Un = Nominal Voltage

The minimum opening time and closing time values cannot be defined as these depend on the adjustment made during the short-circuit breaking tests.

How do I connect any XBTGT2000 and above series to a MicroLogix 1000 via DF1 protocol?

You will need the XBTZ9731 cable, the XBTZG999 adapter and a 9/25 pin converter (female to female).
The MiniDin connector of the XBTZ9731 cable connects to the MicroLogix PLC. The DB25 side of the XBTZ9731 connects to the XBTZG999 adapter. The 9/25 converter is used to connect the XBTZG999 adapter to the DB9 COM1 of the HMI.

Another alternative is to use the XBTZ9731cable with the XBTGT919 adapter.

BootP doesn't not work after updating to Exec Firmware version 4.1

Goals and Symptoms

BootP doesn not work after updating to Exec Firmware version 4.1

Facts and Changes

140NOE77101 version 4.1 and greater.

Causes and Fixes

The reason why this happens is because a verification step was added in 'Exec Frimware version 4.1'
This step caused the 140NOE77101 to perform a check for the subnet mask other than 000.000.000.000.
To resolve the problem, specify a subnet mask in the bootp configuration.

Why isn't my controller taking the IP Address assigned to it in my SoMachine 4.1 project?

Issue
Controller not taking IP Address

Product Line
SoMachine

Resolution
The most common reason why the IP Address is not assigned to the controller is because the controller already has a Post Configuration loaded. To load a new IP Address to the controller there are two options. One option is to reload the firmware on the controller with a post configuration or you can Process the Communication Settings in SoMachine. You must right-click on the controller and select Process Communication Settings. This will send another post configuration to the controller.

Why is the red I/O LED ON on a M241 controller?

The red I/O LED indicates device errors on the serial line 1 or 2, SD card, cartridge, TM4 bus, TM3 bus.

Only the fact that serial line 1 or 2 is not connected or the SD card is not present will turn that I/O LED ON but everything else may work correctly.

To find out exactly why the LED is turned on, you can check the PLC_R structure in a Watch window, specifically PLC_R.i_lwSystemFault_1
Bit field FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF hex indicates no detected error. A bit at low level means that an error has been detected:
- bit 0 = Reserved
- bit 1 = TM3 detected error
- bit 2 = Ethernet IF1 detected error
- bit 3 = Ethernet IF2 detected error
- bit 4 = Serial 1 in overcurrent detected error
