      GPRS access settings depend on the GPRS modem that is connected.

      There are 2 reference numbers for the GPRS modem:
      • EBXA-GPRS
      NOTE: The good operation of GPRS and Wi-Fi is not guaranteed with other GPRS modems or Wi-Fi USB keys.

      The SIM card is embedded in the GPRS modem. You can only use the EBXA GPRS SIM to publish data if you are exporting data to Remote Service Platform. The settings of this GPRS access are set by the Com'X.
      The reference EBXA-GRPS-SIM must be selected for the GPRS modem.

      For the Com'X that comes with the SIM card included: The SIM card that comes with the Com'X 510 is Vodafone, but will connect to the T-Mobile network in the United States once the card is activated. 

      For the Com'X without the SIM card included:  Provided that the cellular provider will allow the equipment on their network, and the user configures the proper APN and SIM card settings, there are no constraints for putting the ComX on another GPRS network. 

      Does the SEPAM MES 114/120 I/O module have analog input availability?

      The Sepam MES114/120 I/O module does not have an input that can monitor the value of an analog signal generated from an external power source. The Sepam I/O modules are designed to detect status changes of a circuit breaker, contactor, plc, etc....., and will output a "0" or "1", depending on the condition of the input signal. The MES114 I/O module (compatible w/ Series 20/40) has up to 10 input connections and the MES120 (compatible w/ Series 80) has up to 14 input connections.
      The Accessory MES114 and MES 120 can be used only in Logical Status

      The MES114 module, on the other hand, will accept analog input signals, but the input APS_SENSORS will only detect whether the status of the analog signal is high "1" or low "0" depending on a certain threshold. These thresholds can be located in the characteristics section of the MES114 install sheet:

      For a 110 V AC analog signal, a signal greater than 88V will force a "1" state and a signal less than 22V will force a "0" state.
      For a 220 V AC analog signal, a signal greater than 176V will force a "1" state and a signal less than 48V will force a "0" state.

      These input status changes can then be used by the Sepam relay to influence control logic, display alarm messages & LEDs, trigger waveforms or open & close relay outputs.

      Nevertheless sepam can use the Accessory MSA 141 to manage an Analogic Output

      How to select a device profile for these breakers during commissioning process?
      The ComPact NS/PowerPact P, R breakers discover as MasterPact breakers. ComPact NS/PowerPact P, R breakers do not appear in the device selection list of the Com’X 210/ 510, so user is unable to select these devices.

      Cause of Issue
      Com’X includes support for the MicroLogic trip units A, E, P, H which are used by MasterPact, PowerPact P, R/ComPact NS breakers. Com’ X supports the PowerPact/Compact NS breakers as MasterPact breakers. The PowerPact P, R/ComPact NS do not display in the device selection list.  



      To create a PowerPact P, R/ComPact NS breaker within Com’X:
      1.Select a MasterPact breaker with corresponding MicroLogic trip unit (A, E, P, H) from the Device Type drop-down list.
      2.Rename it as PowerPact P, R/ComPact NS breaker.
      Click Create to create the PowerPact/Compact NS device.

      Required to setup real-time data viewing or data logging on the COM'X gateway.
      1. Login to the COM'X gateway by navigating to the device's IP address and use the credentials setup [Default: (admin/admin)] to login to the webserver.

      2. Navigate to the "Device Settings" tab and select "Create a New Device" from the drop-down menu located in the "Ethernet" section.

      3. In the 'Create a new device' pop-up window, select the device type of the other Ethernet gateway and define a name, host (gateway's IP address) and port as 502 for ModbusTCP.


      4. Navigate to the "Device Settings" tab and select "Create a New Device" from the drop-down menu located in the "Modbus Serial" section.

      5. In the 'Create a new device' pop-up window, select the device type of the serial device and define a name, commodity, connected to, slave ID (device's modbus address) and usage.
      *Note: Ensure that the applicable Ethernet gateway is selected in the 'Connected to' field and verify that the IP address is correct.

      6. Both the Ethernet gateway and the serial device should appear under the 'Device Settings' tabs.

      7. Check the real-time data readings of the device to verify that the devices are communicating successfully. This can be done by selecting the applicable device via the Monitoring->Single Device View tabs.

      Below, you will find a list of DHCPv4 options that the APC Network Management Card (AP9617/AP9618/AP9619, AP9630/AP9631/AP9635, and any NMC embedded devices) send/receive in a DHCP Request/Offer. At the current time, option 81 is being investigated for addition (NMC2 products ONLY).


      Sent by the APC NMC - The NMC uses the following options within a valid DHCP response. (Most of these options are described in RFC2132.)


      • Vendor Class Identifier - (option 60) - This option is used by DHCP clients to optionally identify the type and configuration of a DHCP client.  
      • Client Identifier - (option 61) - This option type is most useful for reserved clients. When a reserved client contacts the server, the DHCP service can check and match the client's identifier value to a corresponding identifier used to configure an address reservation in the server's database.
      • User Class - (option 77) - This option is used by a DHCP client to optionally identify the type or category of user or applications it represents.  A DHCP server uses the User Class option to choose the address pool it allocates an address from and/or to select any other configuration option.
      • Host Name - (option 12) - NMC2 only - AOS 5.1.5 and above - This option specifies the name of the client.

      Received by the APC NMC The NMC uses the following options within a valid DHCP response. (All of these options except the first are described in RFC2132.) 

      TCP/IP Options:

      • IP Address (from the yiaddr field of the DHCP response) - The IP address that the DHCP server is leasing to the NMC.
      • Subnet Mask - (option 1) - The Subnet Mask value that the NMC needs to operate on the network.
      • Router, i.e., Default Gateway - (option 3) - The default gateway address that the NMC needs to operate on the network.
      • IP Address Lease Time - (option 51) - The time duration for the lease of the IP Address to the NMC.
      • Renewal Time, T1 - (option 58) - The time that the NMC must wait after an IP address lease is assigned before it can request a renewal of that lease.
      • Rebinding Time, T2 - (option 59) - The time that the NMC must wait after an IP address lease is assigned before it can seek to rebind that lease.

      Other Options:

      • NTP Server, Primary and Secondary - (option 42) - Up to two NTP servers (primary and secondary) that the NMC can use.
      • NTP Time Offset - (option 2) - The offset of the NMC's subnet, in seconds, from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
      • DNS Server, Primary and Secondary - (option 6) - Up to two Domain Name System (DNS) servers (primary and secondary) that the NMC can use.
      • Host Name - (option 12) - Max length of 32 characters - The host name that the NMC will use.
      • Domain Name - (option 15) -  Max length of 64 characters - The domain name that the NMC will use.
      • Boot File Name - (from the file field of the DHCP response, described in RFC2131) - The fully qualified directory-path to a user configuration file (.ini file) to download. The siaddr field of the DHCP response specifies the IP address of the server from which the NMC will download the .ini file. After the download, the NMC uses the .ini file as a boot file to reconfigure its settings.
      • Vendor Specific Information - (option 43) - this option encapsulates the APC cookie and the Boot Mode Transition setting.
      The NMC uses this option in a DHCP response to determine whether the DHCP response is valid. This option contains an option in a TAG/LEN/DATA format, called the APC Cookie. This is disabled by default on NMC2 devices.

      Option 43 communicates to the NMC that a DHCP server is configured to service devices. Following, in hexadecimal format, is an example of a Vendor Specific Information option that contains the APC cookie:
