ION 6200 Sample Rate Information

Issue

Information on the sampling rate of the ION6200

Product Line

ION6200 meters

Environment

All released meter firmware

Discussion

The sampling rate of the ION 6200 is 64 samples/cycle. With this sampling rate, the meter should be able to calculate harmonics up the 31st harmonic.
However, for the THD calculation, only the first harmonics are taken into account; this has been verified with firmware.

In addition, the ION 6200 is a blind cycle meter which means that...since the meter takes 64 samples per cycle, it actually uses all 64 samples to calculate the data.
These samples are locked to the frequency of V1.

R036_How to configure a TesysT on Profibus with Siemens Step7

Goals and Symptoms

This document will describe you how to configure TeSysT on a network Profibus with a PLC Siemens S300 station. The CPU is a CPU 315 - 2 DP with Profibus port embedded.

We use Simatic S7, STEP 7 V5.4 SP3. Into Simatic you have two sub-softwares to configure the Profibus Network : NetPro and HW Config.
NetPro: you define which kind of product you need on your Profibus network (TesysU, TesysT…)
HW Config:

    • PLC hardware configuration
Configuration for each device Network (TesysT with or without expension module, which control unit for TesysU and which information you want to exchange on the network)

What can cause an output phase fault on an ATV312 or ATV31?

Issue:
Output Phase Fault (OPF) on Altivar 31 or 312 Drives

Product Line:
ATV312
ATV31

Environment:
All models and serial numbers

Cause:
This fault occurs when the drive has been commanded to run the motor but no or very little output current is detected by the drive.

Resolution:
Verify that the all three motor leads are properly connected to the drive.  Determine if there is a disconnect at the motor that could be open or a contactor between the drive and the motor that has not closed.  Loss of one leg or a significant imbalance of current between legs will cause the drive to signal output phase loss. The motor and motor leads should be Megger tested at 1,000 volts.
In some applications small motors are used and their current draw is below what the drive considers normal based on the motor information programmed in the drive.  The output phase loss detection can be disabled if there is no impact to the application.

Can an ATV31 file be converted to an ATV312 file using SoMove software?

Issue:
Can an ATV31 file be converted to an ATV312 file using SoMove software?

Product line:

Environment:
All models, all serial numbers

Cause:
Need to connect to Blue Hose

Resolution:

The better solution is to generate the configuration file in Off-line Project for ATV312 then upload to Drives.

IP Forwarding is NOT Enabled on 300/303/310/400 series appliances

Issue:

IP Forwarding is NOT Enabled on 300/303/310/400 series appliances

Product Line:

NetBotz

Environment:

NetBotz version 1

Cause:

The ipForwarding field in the MIB is being misreported by the standard SNMP agent on the NetBotz appliances.

Resolution:

When browsing the NetBotz Appliance with an SNMP Browser, in the IP forwarding table the value of the ipForwarding flag is set to "forwarding". NetBotz does NOT use IP forwarding, so manipulating the variable will not impact the system.

Please note that version 1 NetBotz such as the 310 and 400 are no longer supported.

Configuring the Return or Reply Email Address on a Netbotz Appliance

Issue:

Configuring the Return or Reply Email Address on a version 1 Netbotz Appliance

Product Line:

NetBotz

Environment:

NetBotz version 1 and 2

Cause:

e-mail configuration

Resolution:

Many times an smtp relay server requires a valid FROM address in order to send the email. The "FROM" address on the 300, 303, 310, and 400 series appliances is a combination of the Location field and the DNS Domain field, i.e. location@dnsdomain.com. To properly set the "FROM:" address on a 300, 303, 310 or 400 series appliance you need to properly populate the "Location" field and "DNS Domain" fields on the appliance. Follow these instructions to set these fields:

Location: Browse to "Settings, Location" then populate the appliance location field with what should be the part of the return address before the @ sign. Example, for the return email address to be "netbotz-server-room@netbotz.com", I would set the "Location" field to be "netbotz-server-room".

DNS Domain: Browse to "Network, DNS" and set the "DNS Domain" to be the domain name that should come after the @ sign. Using the example above, I would simply make the DNS Domain "netbotz.com".

On a 320/420/500 series appliance, the "FROM" address is set on the "Email Server" configuration screen. Simply go into "Configuration, Email Server" then set the "From" field at the top of that configuration panel with the full email address as you would like it to appear, e.g. netbotz-server-room@netbotz.com.

NOTE: You do NOT need to use the location field & DNS Domain fields on the 320/420/500 appliances.
300, 303, 310 and 400 series appliance are no longer officially supported.
