PM1000, PM1200, and EM6400 block registers

Certain registers must be read as a "block" from the PM1000, PM1200, and EM6400 meters. In order to read these registers, one must set the starting register to 3001, then 20 registers must be read in a single read. Attempting to read these registers in any other manner will result in either a time out or an error.The example in the picture below shows an scenario.

Note: "Function Code: O3H Read" is stating that these registers are Holding Registers.
The PowerLogic PM1000 Series Power Meters User Manual can be found here. It includes the PM1000/PM1200/EM6400 register list.

How can I calculate the heat dissipation on a Magelis XBT-GT5230 from the VA rating on the unit?

Release Notice

...

Goals and Symptoms

To determine the heat dissipation of a Magelis XBT-GT5230 based on the VA rating of the unit.

Facts and Changes

-1 Watt equals to 3.412 BTU/Hr.
-Power Factor of the Magelis XBT-GT5230 is almost one. But for heat dissipation calculation we will use 0.8
XBT-GT5230 Power Consumption: 26VA

Causes and Fixes

To calculate the heat dissipation you need to consider the type of load you are dealing with. Typically if you have a capacitive or inductive load, you would need to know the power factor (PF) to convert to Watts. :

Watts = VA * PF
VA = Watts/PF
VA = 26/0.8 = 32
.
32 Watts is about 110 BTU/hr.

Therefore the heat dissipation on a Magelis XBT-GT5230 is 110 BTU/hr. Please choose an electrical enclosure accordingly.

What are your Cooling Product Energy efficiency rating (EER)?

Issue:
What are your Cooling Product Energy efficiency rating (EER)?

Product line:
All Units.

Environment:
All Serial Numbers.

Cause:
Install

Resolution:
Energy efficiency rating (EER) or coefficient of performance (COP),  is a measure to assess heat pumps and air conditioners.  The Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of a particular cooling device is the ratio of output cooling (in Btu/hr) to input electrical power (in watts) at a given operating point. EER is generally calculated using a 95F outside temp and an inside (actually return air) temp of 80F and 50% relative humidity. The EER is related to the coefficient of performance (COP) commonly used in thermodynamics, with the primary difference being that the COP of a cooling device is unit-less: the cooling load and the electrical power needed to run the device are both measured using the same units, e.g. watts. Therefore a COP is universal and can be used in any system of units. EER = COP * 3.412 .

 In regards to Schneider Electric's cooling products this can be calculated from the Technical Data Manuals, or Technical Data Specifications. Customer can calculate these if they choose, however, the "rating point" or "condition" need to be known.  This could be the expected return air temps or another value based on a competitors product rating point.

EER = rated cooling capacity output (kW)/cooling input power (kW)

COP = rated heating capacity output (kW)/heating input power (kW)
