        Resolution:

        The maximum low battery signal time allowed by the ""SMT"" series of SmartUPS units is 23 minutes. If it is set to higher than this the alarm will not sound until the runtime is less than 23 minutes. This is a technical limitation of the UPS.

        Can I use Assemblies 23 and 73 to control Torque Limitation on the ATV71 series drives with Ethernet IP communications?

        Product Line:
        Altivar 71 series drives equipped with Ethernet IP communications.

        Cause:
        Assemblies 23 and 73 are listed as CIP Extended Speed And Torque Control Input Assembly Mapping and CIP Extended Speed And Torque Output Assembly Mapping.  They are designed to be used with the Torque Control function, but can they be used with the Torque Limitation function also?

        Resolution:
        No. Assemblies 23 and 73 can only be used for the Torque Control function, they are not compatible with Torque Limitation. Assemblies 100 and 101 can be used to manage the Torque Limitation function.

        What causes error 006 alarm on Lexium 23 ?

        The Alarm error 006 is caused when the servo motor and or servo drive are overloaded.
        The drive monitors the motor total torque percentage and in the event that the motor torque exceeds 100% of the maximum possible torque then alarm message 006 is displayed on the drive.

        Is the drive and motor combination properly sized for the application? Perhaps a higher capacity drive and motor are required.

        Has the machine mechanics changed?  If there is additional load on the drive and motor as a result of a faulty mechanical system then alarm 006 can occur.
        Check the machine mechanics to insure there are no issues causing an additional frictional load.

         

        Preventa XU - XUSLBR5A0520 has the error code 23, which it´s not at user´s manual. What´s the meaning of this error and how to solve it?

        The error code 23 or starting by 2* cannot be displayed on the XUSLB/D type 4 curtains. Please check which is the correct error and use the XUSLB/D user manual to diagnostic and solve the issue in the application. Probably that the customer sees "23" error code instead of "32" error code on the IBI's (individual beam indicator).

        Is it possible to change how Lexium 23 responds to alarm 014 or alarm 015 when reaching the end of travel limit switches?

        Reaching end of travel limit switches will always result in a stop of motion and the respective alarm code being displayed.
        This behavior is firmware related and can not be modified.
        There are no provisions to change this behavior.

        When Lexium 23 reaches the end of travel limit swiches it responds by stopping motion and displaying alarm 014 or alarm 015, depending on the direction of travel when reaching the limit switch.
        To recover from this event you must reset the alarm and then create movement in the opposite direction of the limit switch that has been reached.
