How do you change the carrier switching frequency in an ATV66 drive?

      Issue:
Change the carrier switching frequency in an ATV66 drive

      Product Line:
      Altivar ATV66

      Environment:
      All

      Cause:
Needs to change the switching frequency because of motor noise.

      Resolution:
The only way to change carrier frequency is to go from CT or VT to VTLN or NOLD in menu 7.13.
There is no separate parameter available for switching frequency adjustment.
Refer to the ATV66 user manual VD0C06S305C  page 61.

Why is my drive not storing parameter changes after a power cycle?

      Issue:
Parameter changes made to the drive over a network (ModBus, CANopen, etc) reset to default values after a power cycle.

      Product Line:
      ATV31, ATV312, ATV12, ATV61, ATV71

      Environment:
      All part numbers.
      Adjusments via network

      Cause:
Parameter changes are made to RAM and not to EEPROM

      Resolution:
Adjustments made over the network are stored to the operating memory (RAM) in the drive so it will be lost after a power cycle.
To have the settings stored to the EEPROM the customer must set Bit 1 of the CMI (Extended control word; address 8504) to 1.
This bit will reset to 0 after a save had been completed.

NOTE: The EEPROM has a limit to the number of times it can be written.  This is 1,000,000 writes for the ATV312.  ATV12, ATV61 and ATV71 are limited to 100,000 writes

What to check if my Wiser Air thermostat (North America model) will not power on after installation.

      Product Line:
Wiser Air thermostat (North America model)
      Resolution:
      • Check your load center to confirm that your HVAC breakers are turned on and not in the off or tripped positions.
      • Wiser Air requires a 24 VAC and common from the heating or cooling system control board. If your previous thermostat did not have a common wire connected to the C terminal or any extra wires present, the wire extender will need to be installed. Please see the Wiser Air Installation Guide below for further help.
***Note: Be sure to not power the thermostat directly to 120/240 Vac.

What's the difference between ATS22..S6U and ATS22...S6 Softstart models?

      Issue:
Differences between an ATS22..S6U and  ATS22..S6 soft start models.

      Product Line:
      Altistart 22 ATS22

      Environment:
      All models, All series

      Cause:
Altistart has difference voltage suffix S6U and S6.

      Resolution:
The ATS22..S6 model requires 220vac control power and has 24vdc logic inputs.

The ATS22..S6U model requires 110vac control power and has 110vac logic inputs.
