StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0 - Why do I see 'an unexpected error has occurred' when I try to add a Report Subscription in Web Reporter?

      Issue
If StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0 is installed as a distributed system, that is, there is both a database server and an application server and Reporting Services is installed on the database server, you will not be able to create a report subscription.. When an attempt is made to add a report subscription, in the Web Reporter UI, the user will see a screen that says ''unexpected error has occurred. Your request cannot be processed at this time. If the problem persists, contact the Webpage administrator'.

If you look in the EventException table, the following will be displayed:

System.ApplicationException: Could not authenticate. at PowerMeasurement.Security.UserImpersonator..ctor(String username, String password, String domain) at PowerMeasurement.Apps.Web.EEM.Modules.Reports.AddRSReportSubscription.InitPrinterControl() at PowerMeasurement.Apps.Web.EEM.Modules.Reports.AddRSReportSubscription.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) at System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Callback(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.EventHandler.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

      Product Line
StruxureWare Power Monitoring (SPM) 7.0 or 7.0 to 7.0.1 Upgrade

      Cause
This problem results because the IONUser windows account is not created on the application server at install time.

      Resolution
The workaround is to add the IONUser Windows account manually. The password should be set to 'IONisgreat!' without the single quotes.. Most of the time, It does not need to be a member of any group. However, if the same error message shows up again, adding the IONUser to the Administrators group can correct the error.

This problem has been addressed in Struxureware Power Monitoring 7.0.1, but only on new installations. SPM 7.0 systems that are upgraded to SPM 7.0.1 will need to have the IONUser added to the application server manually.

How can I set a T function on relay RE11RMXMU?

      Goals and Symptoms

How can I set a T function on relay RE11RMXMU?
Customer wants to use bistable relay function which is marked as Tl function. On the product the switch to the position Tl/Tt and connect the Y1 contact in order to control this function but he claims that there is no possibility to set infinite value on time range.
According functional diagram for bistable relay function the time between two pulses is infinite. But the relay all the time starts to count the delay according the position of potentiometers (time range and time unit).
How is possible to get infinite time between two pulses generated by Y1 contact?

      Facts and Changes

      RE11RMXMU

      Causes and Fixes

ION8600 v332 'Use GPS Quality Flag' Setup Register Added

      Goals and Symptoms

A new setup register has been added to the clock module on the 8600. This register is named Use GPS Quality Flag. It has two settings, Use Flag and Ignore Flag.

Previous versions of firmware which were setup to synchronize to a GPS time source would only do so if the GPS was locked to a satellite source. If the source became unlocked, the meter would stop accepting time synchs until the lock was reacquired.

      Causes and Fixes

The new setup register allows the user to select the behavior they want.

Use Flag: The meter will only accept time synchs if the source quality flag reports locked.
Ignore Flag: The meter will accept time synchs regardless of the quality flag state.

ION Enterprise v5.5 Management Console error: "This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy application and correct the problem."

This is the error message that appears in the ION Enterprise Management Console:

Check the task manager and there are most likely multiple instances of managementconsole.exe, vista.exe, or designer.exe in the processes. You may also see multiple instances in the applications. This is most likely due to multiple users logged into the same programs. Either ending the other users session or rebooting the computer will resolve the problem.
