      1) Create a new 10Meg partition on your hard-drive other than the C: drive. This is because the ProWorx 884 DOS software was created a long time ago when hard-drives were no bigger than 20Meg. Anything over 20Meg and the ProWorx 884 software will see it as not enough disk space.

      Please note that there is a factory installed jumper between AI- and com that allows this input to work with a 0 to10vdc input.  If you remove the jumper, then it becomes an -10vdc to +10vdc input.

      The main difference lies within the overload capability of the drive. This setting adjusts the drives current limitations. 
      The "Current Limitation" limits your current based on the overload capability setting of the drive for a maximum time frame of 60s.
      Typically this is your initial starting current
      The drive overload capability can be changed by adjusting the "Dual Rating" parameter in the drive (under menu 5.2 Motor Parameters). There are 2 different settings: Normal Duty / Normal Rating and Heavy Duty / High rating.

      Alternatively, the R2 relay can be used.  Set R2 assignment Freq th. att. (I-O- > r2 > FtA). 
      Under the Settings menu, adjust Freq Threshold to desired frequency (SEt- > Ftd)
      When the drive output speed reaches the Ftd setting, the relay or digital output will energize and stay energized as long as the speed is at, or above the Ftd setting.

      Resolution:
      Make sure type parameter TYP is set to 2 which will preset all of your frequency settings to 60hz.
      Check the upper limit UL setting in the programming to see if its set to 60hz.
      Check your logic inputs R or RES F112 and F113 to see if they are set to 6 or preset speed.
      Check your analog input scaling VIA= F201 thru F204  or VIB F210 thru F213.
      Check the display make sure the drive is not flashing a C for current limit.  If the drive is in current limit it will back the speed of the motor down to see the current will follow.
      Check the analog input signal to make sure that you have good voltage or current from the analog input to CC.

      Integral red LED display does not illuminate.

      Resolution:
      Follow the troubleshooting procedure below.

      Is there control power?

      Measure CL1 - CL2 for 90 - 270Vac.

      Blown fuse? May indicate a shorted power supply on the power board or a problem with other devices (relays, pilot lights, etc) connected to the control power.


      Measure DC Voltage between +24V - COM.

      If 24VDC supply is OK (24VDC +/- 25%):

      1. Remove power from the Soft Starter.
      2. Remove the control board to gain access to the power board. Verify that all wire plug connectors are seated properly. 
      3. Pay particular attention to the flat ribbon cable that connects the control board to the power board.   If this cable is loose (usually at the power board), it can be reconnected by first ensuring the collar (see attachment) is loose, then insert the ribbon cable and "snap" the collar down to hold the cable in place.
      4. Reinstall control board and apply power to see if the display now works.
          

      If 24VDC is not OK:

      1. Remove power from the Soft Starter.
      2. Remove the control board to gain access to the power board.
      3. On the power board, unplug the connector at plug J6.  This is the connector with 4 wires on it, 2 pair, both white and black.
      4. Apply voltage to CL1 and CL2.  Be sure to use appropriate PPE.
      5. At the J6 plug, measure pins 5-6 for 24Vdc, +-25% ( used for local display ). Measure pins 1-2 for 10Vdc ( used for the remote display).
      If either power supply is bad, replace the power board, part number based on ATS48 unit. It is also recommended to replace the control board as well, VX4G481, if a surge is the suspected cause of power board failure.

      If J6 measures good, and the ribbon cable is properly installed but the display remains blank, replace the control board.
      If another ATS48 is available, you could verify there are no other issues in the Soft Starter by swapping control boards.
      Note that the programmed parameters are stored in the control board, so changing or replacing the control board will require reprogramming.
