Why is my drive not storing parameter changes after a power cycle?

Issue:
Parameter changes made to the drive over a network (ModBus, CANopen, etc) reset to default values after a power cycle.

Product Line:
ATV31, ATV312, ATV12, ATV61, ATV71

Environment:
All part numbers.
Adjusments via network

Cause:
Parameter changes are made to RAM and not to EEPROM

Resolution:
Adjustments made over the network are stored to the operating memory (RAM) in the drive so it will be lost after a power cycle.
To have the settings stored to the EEPROM the customer must set Bit 1 of the CMI (Extended control word; address 8504) to 1.
This bit will reset to 0 after a save had been completed.

NOTE: The EEPROM has a limit to the number of times it can be written.  This is 1,000,000 writes for the ATV312.  ATV12, ATV61 and ATV71 are limited to 100,000 writes

How to change the display settings of energy units from MWh to kWh in ME Meter.

Depending on the ME meter version, meter will automatically select the appropriate units and therefore it is not possible to modify the energy units. From 40/5 to 150/5 CT ratio, the energy unit display is KWh and from 200/5 to 6000/5 CT ratio, the energy unit display is MWh.

CT Setting:
To change the CT settings hold down the button on the Front Face of the ME Meter for more than 5 sec when on the CT Rating display. After approximately 5 sec the display will start blinking, now enter the CT setting. Once again hold the button till the display stop flashing, to ensure that the entry is saved.

Cause:
Water Solution Card set up configuration.

Resolution:
First, go through the Pre-Configuration section in the manual.   Transducer is 0-145 PSI with 4-20mA Output. There are 2 additional External pumps.   Go to Page 86 to set System Units =1 (Imp, Gallon and Degree Fahrenheit)   Water Solutions/Expansion/PID PID Ref Local (Local PID reference will appear under Water Solutions menu) PID Max Ref 100 psi PID Feedback  Drive AI2 PID Gain 50 PID Integral 1   Water Solutions/Expansion/Sensors Outlet Transducer Maximum   145 psi Pressure Units PSI   Water Solutions/Expansion/Start Set Setpoint Ramp  5.0   Water Solutions/Expansion/Stage Number of External Pumps 1 Stage Speed  50 hZ  Jumper: +24 to CI_LI54 External Pump 1 No Fault +24 to CI_LI55 External Pump 2 No Fault +24 to CI_LI57      Auto enable   The Feedback Pressure(monitored under water Solution menu) must be lower than the Start Pressure(programmed in Start Set) when closing CI_LI57 and want the unit to start.
