An external 24VDC can be used for digital inputs, the 0V of the external 24VDC will need to be connected to the 0V terminal of the ATS480.
An external 24VDC can also be connected across the +24 and 0V terminals of the ATS480 to power up the keypad and allow communication to be maintained in the absence of AC voltage across the CL1 and CL2 terminals.
Note that in the absence of AC voltage across CL1 and CL2, a run signal will not be accepted, The external 24VDC will only allow the keypad to be used and communication to be maintained.
