The whole charging system is determined by the lowest value in the charging network. The network consists of the EVC, cable & vehicle.
If the EVC & cable are rated to 32A but the Car is only at 8A, the charging station will only deliver 8A.
Note : If a single phase vehicle is connected to a 22kW 3phase charger (with all three phases connected), it will only charge at 7kW. This is because all single phase vehicles will only charge with L1 & N.
