There are two ways of doing the firmware upgrade;
1.If the IO module is already connected to a downstream breaker configured with IFE Ethernet Interface (LV434001) or IFE Ethernet Switchboard Server (LV434002).

-Use EcoStruxure Power Commission (EPC) and add the breaker to a project
-Connect to the breaker
-Go to ‘Firmware’ section of EPC to upgrade the firmware

OR
-Use ‘Launch Firmware Upgrade’ on EPC homepage detect and upgrade the firmware of IO module

2.If the IO module is not connected to a breaker, then it should at least be connected to IFE Ethernet Interface (LV434001) or IFE Ethernet Switchboard Server (LV434002).
In this configuration you must connect an ULP terminator (TRV00880) to the other ULP port.
Then,
- Use ‘Launch Firmware Upgrade’ on EPC homepage detect and upgrade the firmware of IO module
(see attached video showing the process)
In this case, the ULP terminator is a MUST. Otherwise, the IO module won’t be discovered during ‘Launch Firmware Upgrade’.
