Having intermittent issues controlling Foxtel IQ box from PUSH Controls?

Note: These recommendations or suggestions below are assuming you are familiar with programming PUSH Controls, have the Project Editor Software & have the original project file (.bwe).

I. Recommended Foxtel IR Device Settings

With Foxtel IQ boxes, it is best to try out a different pulse count and carrier nudge as this seem to very between boxes.
However, this is the recommended settings:

• Pulse Count: 5
• Carrier Nudge: 3

 

II. Remove Old PayTV script

When upgrading PayTV module, make sure that you remove the old PayTV scripts.

III. IR Emitter Placement

The placement of the IR emitter is crucial and sensitive. It is best to test the placement by holding it and try to find an ideal placement by sending test command. Please refer to the photo below for reference.

IV. Use a Different IR Emitter

We have report on a few sites that Foxtel boxes cannot be controlled using the Push IR Emitter (PUSH_TRIPLEEMIT / PUSH_DUALEMIT). Please try using an IR emitter from a different brand (eg. from Blustream Matrix). This issue is affecting Foxtel IQ 3.5 or IQ 4 boxes.
