Basically, BPFE is an another check point to close the circuit remotely.
With the BPFE option the customer can
control the device electrically in order to close it.
When we say "control", it means that if all the safety conditions (part of the customer control/monitoring system of the installation) are enabled, the customer control/monitoring system of the installation will energize the XF through the wiring A3-A1. But at this step is not enough to close the breaker. The engineer present in front of the device must press the BPFE button in order to close the device, if they consider no visual risk present before closing the device.
