Is the current rating of a plug in relay restricted to the current rating of the socket?

What is the true current rating of a plug in relay
Resolution:
Plug in relays are restricted to lowest current between relay and socket, so if socket is rated for 15 amps and socket is rated for 12 amps, the relay is restricted to 12 amps.
