Yes, Altivar 71 Drive can be used for control of the Synchronous Motor.
Note:
1. The Drive should be programmed for Open-Loop Control.
2. De-rate the Drive as per the Torque characteristic because Altivar 71 Drive has standard Motor Frequency of 50 or 60 Hz.
